Love hearing Costello’s debut tunes played like the album and Clover is the only band that ever did it.

So I like how he respects the arrangements on this with the original band. And that is not to say I don't love alternative arrangements.

Sean Hopper from Huey Lewis and the News is an incredible piano player. Sean was always the keyboard player for Clover

John McFee's contribution to My Aim is True is, in my opinion, some of the best guitar work ever. Maybe my favorite album of all time ... a combination of a great songwriter - at a point where he is just hitting his stride - coupled with a great guitar player taking things to a different level musically. Elvis is a fantastic songwriter and McFee is a greatly underrated guitarist. Thanks for posting!

And the whole album was made for £1000!

John’s contribution to EC’s debut album was indeed significant, but let’s not downplay the fact that the entire lineup was awesome.

From the very beginning I loved him for his witty song lyrics. The term, "government burglars" still cracks me up. We all understand the reference.
