I used Han and Chewie to control sites more often than in space, and it sounds like that wasn’t a serious consideration for some of these. Also where is Jabba’s Prize?

Thanks for the video guys! These are super fun. I have to say after playing the new P-CC Mod. Format, Cap Han is S-tier. He mercs everything in space is some formats. Oh and also Steve is the man!

My bro and I played this hard in the mid 90s. If the rules sucked we changed them. Not the most balanced game but keep those Kevin Uxbridge interrupts close

Recently discovered this channel and now I follow Matt and Andy for their Star Wars CCG content (my favorite game of all time). I never played the Highlander card game, but I used to watch the tv series when I was a kid. Eventually got around to watching the movie and it's great! I have some of the 7th Sea starters from the Broadsides set and I would love to expand into Shifting Tides with this raffle. Thanks for everything you do, Matt! Props to Scott and Category One Games for making these classics available.

Really enjoyed the Highlander game when I was a kid. An older guy at the store I played Star Wars at built me a Richie Ryan deck so I could play in the Highlander tournaments. Was a great time!

Highlander and 7th Sea are fun games. For me each of these games were only filler games as I waited for new Decipher's Star Wars sets to drop. I wasn't as consumed by magic and jumped into a large world with all the other cards games so I had a much fuller CCG life in the 90s and early 2000s. My friend Dan introduced me to both these games. I wish I had the money to collect both these games when they came out. My only issue with Highlander were the rip-cards. It's a fun idea but I ripped so many cards over the years and would love to have those cards back today.

I think you both seem to have missed something with L5R. I personally never liked VS System. While Andy described it as taking Magic and fixing everything wrong with it, to me it feels like taking Magic and adding extra steps.

I'm a bit late to this Shire party but I just wanted to say thanks for a fun and no-nonsense video. I absolutely love the Decipher LOTR cards, they are gorgeous. I've started rebuilding my collection and love the card-chasing aspect of it. Thanks a bunch!

why not use Pippin, Wearer of Black and Silver and Merry, Swordthain? Then you can exert them all you want, return them to your hand instead of healing them and you could drop Hobbit Appetite for something better like Enraged or something. Unless this is like, specifically tower block only? Also, no Saruman, Servant of the Eye?

If we're talking Decipher-era cards, Dr. McCoy (the Trouble with Tribbles UR) has to be up there, right? I think that nowadays his skills have been tweaked by the CC but straight out of the pack he broke the game. 'Nullify one MEDICAL-related dilemma each turn' was crazy good.
@barrywade37746 күн бұрын
They arbitrarily used a sub category of Next Generation Federation cards, so it doesn’t qualify. Also they are basing this off of the CC’s Errata versions.

- #10 doesn't make sense as a 'top card' as a lot of players don't actively use Incidents in decks. - The Enterprise-E is a better card than the Enterprise-D when it comes to gameplay. - Virtual cards shouldn't be in the top ten, as a lot of players don't use them at all.
@derrickmarsh506 күн бұрын
Jayman: #1 by saying people dont use incidents in decks makes no sense. In the end of Decipher era, most gameplay engines were Incidents. So tell us you never played by telling us you never played. #2 yes, the Enterprise-E is a superior ship, but its also a different Federation faction which described in the first slide is noted. So EE =/= TNG #3 there are people all over the world that play with virtual cards, so I know you have some made up ratio in your head, but fact is, people play with and without. Why the lists will contain BOTH. Everyone has different opinions and thats fine, but please dont think your opinion on virtual cards are correct. Thanks for watching!

Woot!! James T. Kirk clearly the best Federation and overall best card in the game. It’s also the most valuable card in the entire game as well. Highly recommend picking up this card now before the market price drastically increases in the future 👍
@barrywade37747 күн бұрын
Oh goodie! Let’s see how many of the ten I have. Oh, Star Trek CC versions, … . Never mind. (And the answer is an equally dissapointing 1/10).
@boardmatt6 күн бұрын
Understand the virtual card challenges… all of them will have virtual cards. Not out shilling for the CC, it comes down to more who can speak knowledgeable about these formats and ultimately you have to pick to include or not include virtual stuff.
@derrickmarsh506 күн бұрын
You do realize Barry that if you watched the video, 5 out of the 10 cards are Decipher era cards...
@barrywade37746 күн бұрын
@@derrickmarsh50 Alright so 1/5 then. What was the Errata change to the Kirk by the way?
@barrywade37746 күн бұрын
Actually I only saw one that didn’t have some sort of errata, presumably from the CC. Granted the bottom corner of a few cards mentioned was covered up so I couldn’t confirm that for those one way or the other.

Completely stumbled across this video. Still have my cards from the 90’s, didn’t realize there was still a community for the game. How can get involved? Is there a discord or something?
@boardmatt8 күн бұрын
Welcome! I also stumbled across my cards four years back and here I am, enjoying this game immensely. A few resources: Discord: discord.gg/UFqRex9B Facebook: there’s several big groups if that’s your cup of tea Players committee website (they make virtual cards, have tons of resources and there’s some old school forums): www.starwarsccg.org/ Play online for free: gemp.starwarsccg.org/gemp-swccg/ There’s also groups on Reddit and slack but I’ve found the discord to be the best place to hang.

So what is the best place to sell a huge collection of SWCCG? Including all complete sets all AIs, multiple URs?
@boardmatt9 күн бұрын
eBay is always a good option. There’s also a pretty robust buy/sell community on Facebook. If you search for Star Wars ccg, there’s a few large groups that exist for that purpose. If you’re selling not on eBay, I’d discount prices 20% off these spreadsheets for the best luck finding buyers. Happy sales.
