At least in Deuce's case, he realized his action is slowly destroying his school life, private life, and his relationship with his mother. He tried his best to change, working hard despite being fully aware that he's nowhere as smart as anyone. And he's proud of his changes. His mother is proud of his. His friends are proud of him. He has come in peace with his past and is heading for the "better him" that he envision he wants to be. While Riddle, stuck with his past and future, are in constant state of guilt. One for unable to be the son his mother wants him to be, one for unable to be the friend his only friends wish he could be, one for unable to imagine who and what he supposed to be. He's stuck between being a failed son and a danger to people around him. Wherever he goes after he graduate, people WILL judge him for his overblot history. His mama will come again to get him a job, just like when she fought the school board so he won't be expelled. He's stuck with being a mama boy, unable to stand for his own good.

@@snowwhite00430 even though he's not my main, I understand what he's going through as I myself is just like him, except I'm a papa's daughter. I've been under his and my sister's protection that wherever I go and whatever I do, I know it's most likely because of them. That without them, I am useless. That's why I wonder how Riddle will survive outside the school where there's no rules, no textbook, only experience. Because I've gone through it after I graduate from school and I experience my very first culture shock. I was ruined and it took me years to build back my spirit to face the reality, so I don't have to see my siblings or anyone else go through the same thing my past me did.

I can’t get over how good this is. when I saw the title I wasn’t sure how someone would make the song fit but you’re absolutely so right and the structure and progression of this is so genius. The way you draw Malleus’s ears as downturned when he’s sad is so cute and the way you draw the characters in general does such a good job at conveying the emotions of it all and this is so good (at a loss for words)
