I just had the pleasure of contacting K3LR on the air just now on 14.150.700 MHz from South Korea! Very impressive station! Thank you very much for the video. Best Regards, Don de HL2/KC6TQ

If earth is truly flat you should be able to see these things: 1. See Canada Easily from States such as Pennsylvania, Ohio 2. I would be seeing the Toledo, Ohio skyline everyday 3. I would have infinite render distance

The 4-lane interstate in the background in Interstate 80, and I've driven past this antenna farm many times in my travels. This is located in Western Pennsylvania, and not only do they have an amazing setup, they're also well located elevation wise. Very cool setup -- thanks for the flyover.

"Only" one single 1/4 wave vertical for 160?
@CarstenDauer-DM9EE7 ай бұрын
it is a driven element in the middle with 4 T-loaded wire elements around that can be switched in as directors or reflektors.... so, it is a 3 element vertical beam where the earth is the "other half" ..... better described in ON4UNs book

I love how you think there's like 3 buildings in the skyline between St Regis tower and John Hancock center. There's a good 550 feet missing here across the entire skyline

What size is the concrete base?
@Themachinewon2 жыл бұрын
Heck I just put up a 50 ft tower, reactive force of 8,000lbs was required,, I put in 1.2 yards of concrete for a reactive force of 12,000lbs, future bigger wind turbine.

Because the other exiting yagi wasn't big enough.......... Amazing work. Very nice.
@CarstenDauer-DM9EE5 ай бұрын
the same yagi went from the small tower to the larger new tower.... oh, well, there are new antennas on the small tower.... big yagis help to dig out weaker signals, so people who can not install large yagis can also be worked. same applys to folks that are too lazy to install effective (not saying large) antennas.
