Thank you for sharing this valuable information. Inner peace is crucial for our well-being. Growing up with negative-minded people was the most challenging part of my life, impacting me till now. At times, I feel worthless, like my life is in vain. Despite that, I am actively working to overcome these negative feelings and attain inner peace.

Platine, first, I am very grateful for your well-founded comfort and vulnerability with me. I'm sorry you experienced that challenging upbringing and that it still impacts you to this day. That being said, I'm SO grateful that you know your worth and actively put that effort in to overcome these difficult impacts. Don't overlook the underlying message there in your self-love serving energy. It's important to acknowledge things like that that contribute to your self-worth growth and I'm VERY proud of you, love!!! The short answer is that you will be a huge advocate and mentor to others one day. *** We all are here for a reason, and the challenges along the way don't keep us FROM it, but help shape us FOR it. I've had students with VERY VERY unimaginably traumatizing lives who have as much passion in their voice about overcoming as I do. That's how I know we're built to be able to overcome the challenges put before us... some journeys call on the need to evoke greater strength.. but it's worth it. And WHEN you overcome it, which you will my love, you'll be amazingly proud of your perseverance and passionately help others tap into theirs. You'll be a great inspiration to others. Join me. <3

Definately not the reasons... When you design a piece you have set standards in size... for example Oxford Button is 13 to 15 mm in diameter, if you have an oversize model the details goes in second layer because are too small to provide the effects the designer wants... This is applicable to everything, Patterns, accessories, earrings, buttons and all other things. When you have a small body you have much more emphasis on details. Tall means that you have clear division between tops and bottoms and accessories. When you have a bag on a tall body you see the height on which it should be dressed if you have short body the bag goes lower on the floor making the composition seems weird. Try to design something for a fat person you will see that you have to rethink the accessories.
@ModelCityZen
@ModelCityZen Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment, love. I agree that smaller builds make details seem larger and vice versa. However, you're more referring to print vs. runway or fashion design in general. Details are very important for promo capture. When I modeled luxury jewelry on national TV, lighter skinned models were preferred simply due to the stone's color/clarity/cut could be seen better under the lights to demonstrate the featured of the product for purchase. My vid is definitely the case in the runway. I've been included and excluded from projects for the reasons outlined, I'm too small for some collections. As far as design in general, if you look on Torrid's site (a brand designed around plus size women) or most denim retail sections for that matter, you'll find the button size, anchors, etc are the same.. sometimes a second button is just added for a longer waistband. And yes, you'll have some designers with styles that vary by size as well, but it's not a required standard.♡ And I have some beautiful pics from Torrid's brand to demonstrate confidence at all shapes/sizes w/ crops that have great clear division between tops and bottoms.♡

That's not a fact, my love. It's a preference. I'm tall, skinny, and "mini thick," yet there are plenty of guys that prefer women not towering over them or like them thick. THAT'S a fact. Speaking from experience, I've not been everyones cup of tea.♡ Even my bf at the time loved my look, but when I'd wear heels and be taller than him, he'd subconsciously walk faster than me in public so we weren't side by side. 🤣 What you're seeing that's attractive is HEALTH. Healthy looks good on all frames.

Yeah self love is a two part process. There's the inner work of loving who you uniquely are and the life you've been given. and then there's treating yourself the way you deserve to be treated to maximize your quality of life (eating healthy, active lifestyle, etc). Thanks for this!

Exactly! I was always hated for being tall and skinny. I hated all of the mean, fat people who bullied me relentlessly. They were cruel and evil. They made me feel terrible about myself for being naturally tall and thin. So much so that I never got into modeling the way I wanted to. Now I am 46 years old and am too old to do any modeling even though I look much younger.
@Los-pf3bi
@Los-pf3bi 8 ай бұрын
@@shawnaaustin3396 It must have been hard. The hate comes from jealous usually. They are uneilling to work hard to be healthy so they love to bully those who are naturally healthy. I don't like the current trend in society to accept the lazy unhealthy figure and look down on beautiful thin figures.
@ModelCityZen
@ModelCityZen 8 ай бұрын
@shawnaaustin3396 I know what you mean.. we as human beings tend to do 2 things that steer us down the wrong path, especially when combined. We put our own insecurities under a microscope, and we tend to project out into the world the way our minds work as a means to analyze what we're experiencing. The result of that is that people who don't have a sturdy foundation of authentic self love tend to experience a discomfort when they acknowledge others who have what they struggle for. It's difficult in the moment, but understanding the heat that feels personal TO us isn't actually ABOUT us. Also, I'm very grateful to let you know that if you're still interested in modeling, you're not necessarily too late due to your age. High fashion modeling is only 10% of the industry and the only kind that has number limitations (size, height, age). You can still do plenty of other modeling types like lifestyle, commercial, parts, character, extras, etc. ♡
@ModelCityZen
@ModelCityZen 8 ай бұрын
@Los-pf3bi thank you for your comforting words, love! You're exactly right.. it does typically come from a place of jealousy (see above explanation). When unchecked, it leads us further down the road to insecurities, so it's very important to be mindful and immediately correct it with authentic gratitude. The current trend is intended to come from a place of loving more body types than just tall and skinny.. I agree tho that it's going about it wrong in some instances. All body types, or Somatotypes, are beautiful... ectomorphs, mesomorphs, and endomorphs. But what should be highlighted is treating them with love and respect as we all deserve to be treated and modeling the HEALTHY form of each.

@@ModelCityZenvery true! But what if a woman is beautiful and perfect size for runway modeling, yet is on the spectrum and shy? That was my issue when I was younger. Everyone told me to smile all the time, yet for the runway and high fashion there is little to no smiling 🤷🏻‍♀️
@ModelCityZen
@ModelCityZen 8 ай бұрын
@shawnaaustin3396 hi gorgeous! Thank you so much for your question! The first step is knowing (🧠) and understanding (💖) that you were made divinely and with perfect intention. Embrace that with self-love and gratitude. Then research areas of interest to you (like runway or ANY area of life), get expert advice etc, and practice practice practice. When you feel comfortable giving it a try, do your best and SOLELY appreciate the experience because growth comes from it either way. From every experience, congratulate yourself for putting yourself out there, inquire where you can improve, acknowledge the wins, and don't look back with regret/insecurities. There will always be another opportunity. Even pros like myself don't get selected everytime. Somwtimes theres just a certain vision or vibe theyre going for. Don't ever feel like you're not good enough because the "catwalks" of life that are meant for you will open up when the time is right. TRULY. Keep pushing forward with confidence so as to not diminish it when you come knocking on the doors that are meant for you, beautiful. Does that help?♡
