That is great that these materials are environmental but the soundness and quality over time is my concern.

Hi. Good video. Thank you. I have a question, how tall is the person in the video? 6.0-6.1? Do you think a 6.4 would do well in this kayak? Look forward to your answer. Regards. JVC.

For a kayak that is marketed as very capable in surf and rough water, why did they make such plyable, soft thigh brace mounts? That's an area you'd want stiff to respond to your movements and bracing.

Just looked at some Norse Kayaks. They had several of them at our local outfitters/kayak store. They looked fantastic! Very comfortable and of excellent quality. Unfortunately, every single one had gel coat cracks at the ends of the skeg box. After doing some research, I found that this is an issue with these boats. According to Norse Kayaks, it has to do with the way they package the boats for shipping. Seems fishy to me. I was super disappointed…really wanted to get this boat. Now it’ll likely be a Zegul Reval.

I'm pretty sure this employee phucked up. This isn't the Bourbon this is still the Mercury. The Bourbon is a non-modular traditional touring kayak. The only modular touring kayak that they have is the Mercury. Or am I missing something here?
@PaddlerGuideTV5 ай бұрын
For what it is worth, the person speaking is Point 65 owner/founder, Richard Ohman.
@itotallycare5 ай бұрын
@@PaddlerGuideTV Well that makes it even more perplexing. There is no modular successor to the Mercury called Bourbon. They have a kayak called Bourbon but it has nothing to do with the Mercury and is not modular. One look on their website and one has to assume that the guy messed up. And if it's the founder then that's a big yikes.

@@itotallycare Looks like this has been renamed the Mezcal to prevent confusion with the existing Bourbon models.
@itotallycare4 ай бұрын
@@rockdoveoutdoor Where did you find that information? Because this kayak looks exactly like the Mercury and it's still the only modular touring kayak they have on their website.

@@itotallycare i looked on point 65’s website and there is a new improved version called the Mezcal but i can’t find any reviews or footage of it. 🤷🏻♂️ there is just pictures of it on the official website 🤷🏻♂️

Hi, I wanted to ask for information. What is the difference between the two 0.75 m2 sails and the 1.05 m2 one? Is there just a difference in surface area or do the measurements of the boom and mast change? A thousand thanks

If it's 4.3m, has square strap down "hatches" and a big rudder, it's not really a sea kayak.
