I noticed the water looked cleaner and a little bit transparent in The Definitive Editon, but in the original it looked dark and murky.

That also explains why there's no swimming mechanic in LCS too. The water looks completely opaque and dark in the game

One thing that's bothered me over the years playing both LCS and VCS is the water textures in both games, they should have been switched around. LCS uses the same texture as Vice City, but just darker and nontransparent. VCS uses the same texture as GTA 3, but has a bright turqoise color and it's more transparent.

imagine if you watched a superhero movie, but they never explained how or why he or she has the power. it wouldn't really feel as important as if you knew how or why they were fighting for whatever. so in this case, it adds depth to why everyone just dies in the water, because without that it would just be a void of a gameplay mechanic.

I 1st had this game way back in 2004 for the ps2 it was one of the best games out for it's time back then, I believe it sat at the top of the ps2 charts for a long time. I just recently got this again for the Nintendo switch and noticed the amount of glitches they have added to this game and "never even bothered to iron out" are beyond what anyone could imagine for something that is supposed to be considered a "remaster", as normally you would expect something of better quality than the original. I was trying to find out why only 1 door on the hanger is opening back at Verdant Meadows on this "definitive edition", because from what I remember it was NOT like this on the OG SA the "Original Game, San Andreas". Glitches such as having to pulling aircraft and vehicles through a non solid wall that once slid open totally breaks immersion, and immersion was something OG SA truly had that made the game what it was.
