Not working for me to it is showing error nano : The term 'nano' is not recognized as the name of a cmdlet, function, script file, or operable program. Bro are you on WSL or Linux ? Make sure you are using the Bash Shell and not Powershell or any other shell. The kind of terminal you are using is written on the top right in VSCode.

Accidently did not use tweezers for the touchpad connector... It did in fact fly out so be careful, while trying to get it back in 5 of the 8 pins used to hold the clamp got bent and fell off and now it doesn't lock down so I have used sticky tape on top of the clamp to hold it down and the touchpad seems to function still luckily!

@@danextips thanks, the video reminded me which order to connect the wifi antenna (black/white cables). Now I have a new charger coming in because the original is frayed and finally gave out the day before replacing the keyboard. I have a cheap off brand eBay charger coming in hopefully it doesn't give it the final blow 😆

In my case I couldn't see anything before the prompt while running a python file. I am on bare metal and not a virtual machine though. It could be something you have to do with the settings in VScode I guess.

isn't working for me It feels like output is from ./zshrc not from ./bashrc, not a single change in ./bashrc is affecting the terminal, can we add some variables in ./zshrc rather then ./bashrc? also I am using agnoster theme!

Not sure about that but go ahead and try changing ./zshrc to have the same expected effect as it is happening when ./bashrc is edited.

I use One Dark Pro's Darker variant as VS codes theme. Rest I am sure everything is set to default. I didn't do anything specific to get that bullet circle. Just using WSL.

Hi !! 👋 Are you sure you are using Remote Window WSL (bash)? Cuz that code is not meant to work in windows powershell. The kind of terminal you are using is just written over the top right over the terminal.

I was hoping your video would show how to reattach the camera cable also there is some longer cable with a smaller connector coming out of the display cable, no idea what that might be.

It has been a long time and I do not have that laptop with me anymore. I remember removing everything that is required to access the keyboard. It could be that your monitor is of a different version having multiple cables or that small wire might be just the wire for the WIFI card. I will recommend you to check out some other videos on KZbin for further information on that.

Thank you, this relieved a lot of initial frustration. All is working now. I did cut off the plastic stud head instead of a heat answer, wasn't too bad. Only one suggestion to those who use the cut off method: use a sharp razor knife you can lay flat and you can control so there is not any dangerous follow through. AND have a couple of bandages ready.

Nice tutorial. But the plastic bits were to hold the keyboard solidly and they should be placed back by the plastic which is removed. It's very important

Hi bro, nice video!!, but, can you explain to me about the ram soldered on the motherboard?, 'couse I cannot understand why the program Hwinfo 64 doesn´t detect the ram of 4 GB on the motherboard, only it gives details from the socket of 8 GB, even the task administrator in windows shows 12 GB in total, I tried with other programs such an aida64 and CPU-z but the same issue. if you could answer me I would appreciate it too much. By the way, I got an Acer Aspire A515-55W0, 512 GB SSD, Intel Core i5 10th, and supposedly 12 GB of RAM.

I think it´s because the apu/grafics card takes memory from your ram. Mby i think about 25 %

Heyy, I recently replaced my laptop's keyboard from service center and now I notice that some keys have to be pressed twice or thrice. This replaced keyboard is not the same like it was on my new laptop. Any idea why i have to press shift keys twice or thrice basically i have to press it pretty hard for it to be registered by my laptop.

Was it the Genuine Acer Service Center from which you replaced your laptop's Keyboard? If yes then you should again go and tell them your problem they sure will replace it again as it is possible for the Keyboard to be defective.

That's a FANTASTIC video. Inspired me to change my battery ! Next thing I will attempt : my A515-51G gets quite hot, so I will take off and clean the heat-sink, and apply Artic mx-4 paste as I'm reading it's a great solution to help with reducing heat. After 2.5 years, my laptop needs some love and care

My laptop isn't turning on, it's the same model, I usually hibernate it after use. Now it does even turn on even after full charge, and the electricity inside the system goes off after being on for awhile. Should I get the battery replaced? Been using since 3 years

Pry open the plastic part of the display then check whether the Web Cams wire is well connected or not. Check whichever is connected to webcam is for any breakage or whether it is connected to the motherboard properly.

I also have an Acer Aspire 5. 1 week ago, when power key wasn't working, then all other keys were working and switching on the laptop. And when power key was working, the other keys weren't working. Then suddenly it went off and not getting on again. Is it a problem of power key or keyboard got damaged or any other? If you guess or know what happened kindly please reply. I need to repair this laptop badly. Please.

Ok so I tried to replace the keyboard, and for me at least, you have to find some way to replace the black nubs that were melted earlier because the keyboard will dip into the laptop
