People pay hundreds of dollars for a mill to save money but you save nothing over all because of price gouging.

Is there any health benefits from a mill that has a stone grounded or with a metal blades?
@BarryPiper Жыл бұрын
I'm sorry but what makes this the "right" way? And who decided there's only one way to make peanut butter? That's like saying lemonade should just be pure lemon juice, with no salt, sugar, water or other ingredients added, which is just crazy. I've tried making peanut butter and all I get is a dense, inedible paste no matter how long I let the peanuts stay in the food processor. What's wrong with adding a bit of peanut oil, anyway? Why demonize something so innocuous?

Question: I have a NutriMill, it grinds nice flour, but the flour comes out hot, which is not good for the heat sensitive nutrients, which is why i am considering a hand grind unit. The question is, on the units that have option motor grinding, does that option change the way the flout comes out, does the flour come out cool or hot?

Nice presentation. I bought a Wonder Mill Jr. deluxe several years ago based on reviews - it's not cheap but I wanted a decent one. It's still in it's box bc I bought it as a prep item. Yes, I have grains stored up too lol. I didn't even know that it's good for the oily stuff - I don't have them stored bc they just don't keep like red wheat berries, etc.

Hi which one do you have? I am planning to buy one and as a indian I am planning make roti.

The first one looked like a lot less effort, and still makes a bread flour. Price difference you can also buy 3 for the price of ours. Also with a $50 motor that you can connect to it. I rather use it manually though for the exercise, and that old school feel. The others, today prices are ridiculous. $400 for a manual mil, is crazy. That said, this was a great video bro. Thank you.

I’ve had a KoMo Classic for about 10 years. I can’t compare to any of the others, but for me, I’m pretty happy with it. Pros…First, it’s beautiful & made really well - no problems with wear. The flour quality is excellent, imo. Cons…It’s loud - but better when the lid is on the hopper. The stones heat up after ~6 cups of wheat - I take mine apart & let the stones cool between grindings. I don’t want hot flour until it’s in the oven. 🤔 I’m pretty sure this would be the same for all mills. I usually grind all my flour one day, & mix dough the next, since I make 8-10 loaves at a time. Cleaning it is a pain. I brush off everything & carefully flip it upside down (don’t put weight on the spout or on-off button) & tap it on the counter - it’s almost impossible to get every speck of flour out. Vacuuming might work. I put a couple of bay leaves or tea bags on the stones & inside the spout to discourage wildlife, since I go a long time between grindings.

Interesting video. The title included the KoMo, but it wasn’t included. I have a KoMo Classic, which I like pretty well. I have no experience with anything else. I imagine this is true for all home mills, but the grinding stones heat up a lot, (a salesman at a bread conference thought I am silly), but I stop my grinder after about 4 cups of grain, take apart the grinder until the stones cool down. I don’t want cooked flour before it’s mixed into dough. The flour quality is very good, imo. I wouldn’t mind having one of these for a backup.
