Exactly how I felt. The Unveiled are amazing headphones... But.... I can make the HE1000se sound exactly the same if not better with EQ and make comfort even better with ZMF lambskin pads.... Sorry HE1000 Unveiled. Your price is not worth it as I felt It doesn't do anything else better such as detail, soundstage, imaging and overall resolution. Low end felt the same, maybe a slight roll off from 40hz and below. Just apart from a tuning change. That's all that felt different. Amazing tuning. But same technicalties compared to HE1000se. Maybe stage is slightly wider, but that's a maybe. Very very slight

Power rating there’s no issue. It’s always a matter of what do you mean push to full? Is it a matter you listen very loud or do you feel it’s not “dynamic” enough

@ I’m pretty sure it is. But the amps my guess may sound pretty flat rather then dynamic. The china amps are usually into the flat sound

I think when it comes to open sounding and power the ea4 is better. But if you want more of a airy and light smooth feel type, the 475 is a touch ahead

These are fantastic IEM's for the money. It's actually quite shocking at the sticker price. What's even crazier is how about the same the Truthear RED's compare to this at merely 20-30 USD more. Chi-fi has just reached a point where these things can be made for very little money and easily rival IEM's that are closer to the 150-300 dollar range.

I will say as Chi Fi raised the bar for entry. But pretty much everyone else is now quite similar too. So I won’t say this are similar to 150-300 today since the iems at that price range has also improved. The thing is more like the difference between entry and high end is getting smaller and diminishing returns is now more true then ever for iems

Totally disagree !!! Have used & tried ALL gf lens in every situation and ALL images captured by the 23 mm beats them all - period ! I consider the gf 23mm the finest gf lens fuji make - period !

I like to listen to music with NX8 in my daily study and work. It is comfortable to wear, has a warm and delicate vocal performance and a rich atmosphere, which can make people calm down and feel the complex emotions in the song.

Hey, thanks for the video. I am more into IEMs but thinking to pull the trigger for headphone and is considering susvara. I see M17 on the vid. So, is it possible to connect DAP to enleum 23R directly (without any dedicated DAC)? Also, do you think the RMH version (high gain version) is worth investing for susvara? Thanks a bunch

The enluem is pure amp so you can feed the line out of any dap. In regards to high power edition, unless you are driving tungsten, I find susvara don’t really need that much power to the extend of beyond 1w unless you listen at really high volumes of 90db average (with peaks entering 100db) . If you do listen at such high volume level , you will need that extra power. But honestly if it’s that high, you will need to go C9ii or EA4 for sufficient headroom as the enleum is only 30% more power

The soranik is brighter with less bass. Mids on fugaku is way fuller and more aggressive. Can’t quite remember the rest but the fugaku is superior sound overall unless you like really airy highs

How do you make a Hasselblad X2D 100C work with a Godox V1 flash mounted into the hot shoe? What exposure mode do you use? (M / A / S / P / Auto)? If I choose A and set ISO to some low number like 400, then the shutter speed drops down, like 1/4 or 1/2 second. If I choose the S or M mode and set the shutter speed to 1/250S, then the EVF (and live view) both go totally dark, and they don't brighten up unless I raise ISO to 3200 or 6400. My X2D 100C is simply not aware of my Godox V1 (set to i-TTL), and does not understand there is a flash attached. Can you do a video on just basic hot shoe mounted flash for the X2D camera using Godox V1 flash? I think a lot of people will find that very useful. Thanks!

Your model might have been defective. I have U12T, I find it clinical but flat/boring. I prefer my thieaudio Monarchs III. Or even the Scarlett. Tempted!

Na it isn’t. It’s likely a difference in fit and the tip I use. It sounds exactly like when I was in the shop. That said you need to AB in seconds else anything in memory is kinda junk for audio

Amazing results, do you normally only use 1 light for outdooor shoots? Also the lens you're using is F5.6, how does it achieve such good bokeh? Isn't a lower aperture necessary? Or is it solely because the sensor is larger than a full frame?

I bought the m9 plus on 10 Nov 2024. After 4 weeks of usage the second small screen stopped working. The problem is related to the secondary small screen on the device. The fact is that, after some time (since i bought it) I notinced that some of the figures are strarting to vanish/ The screen displays only a part of information. Like it did not work, Shanling says they want to repair it. Repair after 4 weeks since purchase ? Come on. They dont want to change a player to a new one / without defects.. The device was purchased from their official reseller Dont buy products from Shanling - They sell faulty players.

That is completely overpriced. For 16k you get 2x Genelec 8361 plus balanced dac for the ultimate sound experience at home, an amazing over ear like Focal Clear / Hifiman Arya and an amazing in ear from thieaudio AND Sennheiser plus dac / amp like ifi signature. You get a complete audiophile high end setup for the price of this in ears.

It’s actually superior to most headphones in most property but soundstage. I don’t think is worth for many but for those like me where we are on iems it is worth it. Also my wife likes it more than my headphones due to no sound leak.

Nice review and match with my experience except for the "lack of slam". I am pairing mine with N30LE and its just superb. Also from a value perspective: this is not an IEM: its a very good IEM, and exceptional cable and an amplifier with unique tech. Most people achieve or surpass that vaule by paying separately for these components... I sold most of my stuff to get these and couldn't be more happy. Some of the things that Fugaku do just cannot be achieved with other separate chains. Something important to keep in mind.

The lack of slam is relative to similar high end iem. It’s just the way fugaku renders and the frequency response. Else i think its unique and superior to most, not something that can be easily replicated

Oh I bought after auditioning. So to me it was still worth it. I think it’s a priority and preference thing. Even though I say they were the down side of this device, it’s relative to other great iems. So overall it’s still really good in most things and the best in some which I think is as good as it gets given the technology and that money can get.

I will never understand why so many companies these days go through so much struggle to get quality parts to make their DAPs so good and they put none of the work into making an enjoyable UI Metro design is almost 2 decades old and still nobody seems to want to try and copy it for their audio players. Even using android is just being lazy That being said, wonderful video and presentation keep up the good work!

Nice review. Can I suggest keeping the device on the table and having the camera pointing down to avoid your hand shaking the device and keeping it centred at all times, making it easier for viewers to get a feel of the UI. It’ll also help keeping the lighting consistent. Suggest two not using two hands in the video, it takes away from the focus on the device, as it’s your hands which takes up 2/3rd of the video canvas. The focus has to be the device you are reviewing. Your narrative is fab so easy to follow on that front.
