Thank you for your postings. If it weren’t for you and one other KZbin contributor I wouldn’t have tried to do something way above my head on my 2012 FZ6R, namely replace front end steering bearings and replace the seals on the front shocks. The job took a few months because I had to buy more tools, and improvise a bit along the way. My baby has nearly 56,000 miles on it. Thanks again.🌺

I traded my (stock) '09 FZ6R Claire, last year for my '22 MT07 Nox and I do miss her sometimes but the MT suits me much better she's lighter torquey as heck all through the revs and still does the job for highway commuting. And I wanna get good at wheelies to the MT makes more sense for me. Thanks so much for all the FZ content from maintenance to performance, it made ownership of my FZ6R so much easier and more enjoyable <3 <3 <3

Killer example. I think you are exactly right on the price. We know people running the R6 version of this engine that sees much highers rpms and hitting 100,000 miles. With good oil these things just keep going and going. Nevermidn the fact that worst case is a day doing an engine swap and there are scads of these engines available in both fizzer and r6 trim. Great chance to get something really cool when most in this orice range are beaters.

@ yep the only thing I bothered doing with suspension was switching to 10W fork oil back when I swapped the fork seals. You can get an adjustable rear from RaceTech that is custom built for your weight.

Im glad im not alone hahah, its the first thing i noticed when i first got my xj6 as all the other bikes ive ridden had such light throttles. Its the only thing i dislike about the bike so far after owning it for about 7 months. Curious if you ended up trying to change it in the end? Love the videos mate🤙

@@LPrides unfortunately I have not confirmed a solution. The secret lies in swapping the spring at the throttle body, but I have no update on whether that one company’s product for the MT07 will work. I’m also curious about a second gen R6 spring swapping seamlessly.

@ yes that’s my concern, as well. I can swap cams just fine, but the advancement modification that is required on the one cam is what I am not fully clear on the best way to accomplish, outside of a machinist as you said.

Came from your video of FZ6R vs CBR650R. I was in the midst of looking for one, but the FZ6R is known as XJ6 Diversion F here in my country Malaysia. Currently using FZ150i as my first bike. It was a really fun beginner bike, and I’ve made lots of modifications to the looks. Ok I didn't see about turning the key on for 30 seconds, I drove it and still not shifting but hooking my smarty up and cleared the code and it started shifting all the gears, I still have to drop the drain pan and replace the pressure transducer and the shift controller because it will kick down into lower gear too easy

There's actually three of the values that changed back to 20% but they are on the high end and it didn't make any difference that I could see. @@Fz6rbro nah, I don’t believe adjusting those settings will improve upon the fuel trims written into the tune. Like if I really wanted to make adjustments, I’d do it on the PCFC.. but again, even that would be to scrap fuel trim values that were created on a dyno, which I have no reason to believe are anything less than optimal. Cuz dyno 😬

Yes Sir. All your information is correct. Mine was the very first in the world with the Hindle tune. I am also still getting requests by email and insta. The guy who tuned it for me said stay with the PC5 because it had better tuneability. Cool that it works on the PC6 too. 🎉

There might be a different part number for unheated nozzles for the cars that do not have heated nozzles. I am not sure if that was standard on US B8s or not.

Looks pretty easy. A clean windscreen is a good windscreen. I did note you turning them over to be able to use your right hand to disconnect and connect. I'm the same. The only difference for me is, I am so right hand dominant, that my left hand may as well be a third foot. 😂

@ dyno tunes will always be the best tune, but the fuel controller’s job is simply to run that tune in the ECU. For example, I run the Hindle Performance tune, which was created on a dyno. The PCFC, PC5 and PC6 will all read the tune the same way. So, I opted for the cheapest option knowing that my only goal was to run a tune.

Dare we do the unthinkable and extrapolate from the hp data while knowing extrapolation is always a terrible idea? Yes. It suggests stock was in the neighborhood of 15psi. Neighborhood, ballpark, zip code, or something like that.
