52 jet for example is a .52mm hole. 160 main jet would be a 1.60mm hole. This is the same for all jets across all brands just FYI.

So why didn't you take the seat belt loose from the B pillar. Plastic covering and a bolt. Bang. Almost all of the belt goes into the soap bucket.

I have 17 bikes. There are 5 of them that are collector bikes. (mainly dirt) By the sound of your voice a couple of these are burdens to you. I keep the one that bring me pleasure to look at and tinker with. Dump the burdens and focus on what you love and use. my2cents

Hey. Mister tom i'm about to do the same kit on the same bike.Just watched your video good stuff but how did you position the needle in the holder did you just drop it through the top? And it floats in there or does the clip go on the bottom? That was one part you left out. You said we're gonna replace this clip. Set up and then the bike was back together. That's the part I need to know. How does the clip set up go? Any help would be great, thanks.

@@RonaldBianchi-gd8xn ah sorry I didn’t show that. The kit should have a picture of how the clip goes on the needle and a position to start with. There are grooves on the top of the needle that the tiny clip goes in. Be careful not to lose the clip! Thanks for watching and good luck.

Raise bucket higher...I tied my bucket to head rest....Use boiling hot water (and soap).....Mine took 3 dips soaking 1 hour each.....then a final rinse with no soap....works near perfect now

Don't use them in very cold weather. I did the same and left the jug outside, with isopropyl added. When the temperature dropped in the minus teens, it froze, the whole 4 gallons. Probably need more alcohol which means it cuts into the savings!!!

I've started "regenerating" my garage. I had four with the SXS. That's my limit with still working. The market is horrible right now and people be crazy. I am always on the buy, sell trade platforms looking and have ideas tgar should never be acted upon 😂.

Never have enough bikes. Never have enough space. Got four TW's along with some TTRs and XTs with those 225 6 speeders. Parts are pretty much interchangeable that way. There's a Van Van in the mix too. Around 10 in total. Keep 3 of them registered/insured. Figure when I retire, going to start rebuilding engines and making the dubs 225 6 speeders. Set up the '09 that way and love it.

Great video. My exact model and ice maker assembly. You said your tray was simply hanging free from one end. My issue is that I found the tray stuck as if bending on the axis. I'm afraid to push/pry in fear of breaking it. Thoughts or advice?

Lots of factors go into jetting including the exhaust you use, if you have opened up the airbox, altitude, cam, etc. I couldn't tell you for sure what jets to use but if you do some searching online you should be able to find someone with a similar setup and you can start from there. It will likely need fine tuning, so get a few jets bigger/smaller from your start point and just work through it. Best of luck.

Soap will clean them really well, but unless they are rinsed thoroughly they will attract dirt and a faster rate. The best way I have found is to use a steam cleaner and as many microfiber towels as needed to remove dirt.

The thermostatic fan switch can also be replaced with either OEM or a compatible Honda car part number. Easy to validate by shorting the terminals. If the fan comes on, the existing switch is good. Can be bypassed with a manual switch to get home but some people keep a manual switch permanent.

You need to clean the upper “loop” that the belt runs through. Lift up the belt & look at the loop, all the goop that collects on belt sloughs off onto the edge of the loop. Toothbrush & some cleaner very quickly takes it off. IMO, that’s far more often the problem than the belt itself being dirty.

@ I think that’s what you’ll find. You should be prepared to do a video! I normally only clean the loop and it does the trick. Loop the belt around headrest to keep it out of the way, clamping it low like in this vid won’t hurt either. Literally a 1 minute task.

I think with one bolt that upper loop comes off and the whole top belt and loop can be dropped into the water bucket.

@@IMTHEMANWA3 hard to say what bottles you used but I have not experienced any plastic containers disintegrating from gasoline. Obviously I have not tested every option out there. In the end, only use approved containers unless it’s an emergency situation.

When dry sprinkle the bottom section near the re tractor....with cornstarch or baby powder & pull up & down several times....unseen fibers that start to wear out slow the roll back......

After a good cleaning and thorough rinsing to get all the soap residue off, I spray a healthy amount of Blaster Dry Lube aerosol spray and wipe it in with a clean, white shop rag. The belt will slide like new.

I have had similar success with washing seat belts. Even if the retraction isn't 100% better, it will still help. And hey, let's face it - Who doesn't want a cleaner belt around them?

@@rickl4941 well I have not done it on this engine but most Japanese singles like this you have to remove the cam chain tensioner, cam, and then the flywheel if the chain is on that side. I don’t want to give bad information…got a manual??

I just picked up a 2000' concour's for $1400.00 runs awesome had new tires,and everything was in great condition, only had 15.000 miles on it,and I really live riding this little gem.its a 1000cc has plenty of "get up and go".the only thing that I dont care for us ,its a little top heavy,some you just have to be prepared for when turning around at slow speeds
