Not if the church does not challenge Trump and his MAGAts. Go watch Bonhoeffer. No one can trust going to a church and sitting beside MAGAts. Donate straight to community organizations re affordable housing and food banks where the money doesn't go to gold and robes.

The “I” in your statement is the whole person made of a cells, organs, a body, consciousness with thoughts feelings memories desires actions and relationships. There is a dynamism within consciousness that reflects an infinite capacity to know desire the truth long for meaning and is able to draw on all aspects of the human person including the ATP produced in those cells to love. When folks refer to within they mean the whole person. Oh and I do not know what it means to “occupy” your cells!

I was just thinking about this last night haha. It went like this .. I was remembering a news article where a priest stole 30k from a church. And while remembering it hurt my heart. when I remembered that I kinda said to myself if I walked up to someone random on the street and I said what do you think of the catholic church? The first things I would hear would be priest followed by kids followed by all the horrible stuff. And I thought is that really what we are known for now a days? Is that how others see us? Then there is no wonder why people are not interested in hear what we have to say or why people leaving the church. I felt so much sorrow in my heart. I said no one cares anymore...everyone has heard the good news so much it feel like reading a script. Where is the passion?where is the fire in your soul that burns and makes you yern to share the good news? It's almost non exsistant😢 . I said to the lord look at what has become of your church snakes have entered and we let them in 😢 how are we ever going to recover anything now? Then a passage came to my mind. "You are peter "rock" and upon this rock I will build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it" then I thought tho we have evil within our midst that evil will not prevail because the lord gave his word. Then I felt better 😌

The abuse scandals have plagued rather nearly all churches. Of course it must form a lasting part of their legacy, and deservedly so, because the churches pride themselves on being the standard-bearers of morality, propriety and values. So rather nearly each time churches have had been made aware of such situations they've defended and enabled the perpetrators, and they have ostracized and persecuted the victims, and they have used their reputations to cover-up and avoid being held to account. Churches and their supporters have often pretended that they have an unerring source of morality when it is abundantly clear that even their scripture doesn't and never has been a source of morality and the entirety of the history of the most fervent adherents have been notoriously immoral. What renders such institutions wholly irredeemable, in the long term, is that they pretend that it is others who are the problem (drag-queens and woke books about racial equity). Churches are basically a shared pathology which might evolve simply to become social meetup or club. Catholicism, for instance, is a morbid death-cult that believes in drinking the blood and eating the flesh of an innocent sacrifice (see transubstiation). And regular christianity isn't all that much better.
