I stopped using loop knots after having the line break inside the loop multiple times. I saw a video that showed there was virtually no difference in action when using a loop knot.

You might want to try a whopper plopper in the 90 and 110 size's . I catch snook and bass Both day and night. The bone , powder and chrome are my top 3 for saltwater. You wont tire your self out as much. There are a multitude of retrieves you can use.
