The infamous Thin Lizzy show in Be Bop Deluxe opened up for them. I had a “friend” 😈 that was at this show and she said both bands were on fire.

Imagine if She did a duet with Phil. Would have been awesome. So, the tempo is slightly quicker. Who cares? I respect the Lady for paying homage to a great song. She's beautiful and so is her voice.

@@LRD113 I think Phil was a kind person generally. He helpt Huey Lewis, Midge Ure, Snowy white, Gary Moore, Brian Robertson even Midge Ure and Jimi Bain Darren & John Sykes. Even though Midge was a bit rude towards him not letting him play on Live Aid but it was due to Phil Taking Heroin. But people Really took advantage over Phil's Kindness personally. Gary Moore and Scott Gorham were real friends towards Phil Lynott. Loads of people were worried about Phil's drug abuse. Tony Visconti didn't want to produce Phil due to his drug abuse. Generally Phil Were having problems after the black Rose album and loads of drug dealers took advantage over Phil Lynott. Gary Moore didn't like Jimi Bain giving Phil Drugs i read somewhere Gary was so angry at Jimi Bain that he threw away all the drugs and shouted at him. I don't know if this was during the black rose Recordings but it sure did leave a thorn, I think Gary was nice about it though for not telling the media that Phil had problems at the time. But I think Jimi Bain and Gary didn't stay friends after that.

Thank you so much for this upload, these interesting, maybe (during the time) not so widely viewed as we had no internet, streaming in the day, is so valuable to us fans. I live in Tokyo, born in Nashville, my Mum was named McGuire, Fathers side, totally "Wales", so no wonder this music runs deep in my veins ...Which I am sure, my blood should be Emerald Green! Awesome artists and awesome Mates... It is interesting what he says here... I also love this lineup... The American "Scott Gorham" stepping in and never missing a beat, often, he takes the "High Harmonies" on the twin guitar... Check out Boys are back in town, live at the Sydney Opera, maybe most epic live of any band, not only this one... Also, Robo.... What can you say, he is "Blue Collar" straight between your eyes , no nonsense player and grew up like Gary and Phil.... Pretty rough, so he had some rough times with all the "Excesses" , even Scott speaks on this, Partying , drugs and alcohol, it was a constant issue... We are blessed we have what we have, it was crazy times. If you can, watch "Emerald" from the "One night in Dublin" tribute by Gary.... Robo, comes on , he says " Halo" (Hello for us US English guys) then totally takes it over, Gary of course shreds it, but there are times I see Robo almost get into Gary's face, sayin' Yeah, I am still here and I am doing the real "Blues leads" on this one "Mate", on my "Vintage Les Paul, through 70's era Marshalls on Robo's side, Gary, sadly at this time sold most of his prized guitars, including "Greeny" he got from "Peter Green"... I just love this great interaction.. Like 2 guys fighting over a girl at the Pub, but still "mates" in the end... . Thank you KZbin we have all of this🎸🎸 kzbin.info/www/bejne/l2mmnaiZeLuXZs0

A monumental ballad. Works better with just piano and strings. This version is over arranged. The inclusion of guitar and especially drums, was totally inappropriate. I love this song.

Fabulous Phil Lynott wih his friend the fabulous John Sykes. This amazing song remembering all these awsome titles that Phil made in the '70 and '80 with his brother Gary Moore...till 1986. The melody...the feeling that the song leaves in the guts is exactly the same than "Parisienne walkays" "Spanish guitar" 'Still in love with you" etc... And here you have to be deaf not to hear that John is an absolute fan of Gary Moore...!!! RIP My Friends...❤❤And please John. come back to show of all these guitar players all over the world what is really a genius of guitar...!!!
