Thank you for the kind feedback - the support means a lot to us!! We stayed in a Lovers Lagoon Hideaway Junior Suite with Balcony Tranquility Soaking Tub ( code LJS ) I would definitely choose these over the walkout version as they are very dark inside as enter through the front patio doors. Balcony version has a separate entrance on opposite side to the balcony and additional windows / skylight in bathroom. Plus feels more spacious due to vaulted ceiling! Hope this helps and have a fab time!!

Thanks for this post. We haven't been to this resort in about 10 years (having gone to Sandals Barbados several times instead) but are planning on returning again this Oct. We love Cafe de Paris at Barbados but don't remember it being here in Grenada when we were here last. So we're very excited to see this here now!

Question, for your room category in Lover Lagoon, are the 2nd level rooms only accessible by stairs or is there an additional walkway/hill to walk up?
@daleydepartures
@daleydepartures 3 ай бұрын
Hi Brandon All the 2nd level balcony rooms in the Lovers Lagoon area are accessed by a exterior stairs (see 02:45 in video). I was not aware or saw an elevated footpath to any of the rooms (perhaps the ones furthest from us by main path). I suspect the only rooms with balcony that may have a path access could be the waterfall rooms. Check out our resort tour video (08:05 - 08:31) where you can see a path leading to the rear of the rooms by the signpost (just before the gym path) I would contact the resort direct for a definitive answer to guarantee. Good luck!

Hope you will be back for Sommerro Hotel later, and maybe check out neighbourhoods like St.Hanshaugen, Grünerløkka, Kampen. @@daleydepartures I hate to tell you, but unfortunately the Viking museum is closed until 2027 because of reconstruction and extensions. There are many other museums worth visiting in the same area (Bygdøy) tho. If you are into Polar expeditions the Fram museum is a must. The Kon-Tiki museum is much smaller, but if you are familiar with Thor Heyerdahl it is worth a visiting. And of course the large open-air museum Norsk Folkemuseum which showcase Norwegian cultural history. Whatever you choose to do, I am looking forward to more interesting videos.

14:32 The city is running out of spaces for bicycle parking. Where you stand in this clip, they might extend bicycle parking over the railway. Over 60% use their bicycle each day and 50% use it to commute. This success has done that the city has build 5 or 6 new bridges over the harbour. Traffic congestion is something to do with bicycles. The first bridge congested, shortly after it was finished. A new one had to be built. That happened 4 times.

Off course, we can't use money on everything we see, but Rosenborg Castle is worth it. So beautiful inside. If more castles are required, there is Frederiksborg Castle, located in Hillerød, about 40 minutes from Copenhagen City Center. It is not without reason, it is called the Nordic Versailles, but save it for summer, the parks, lakes, and gardens are best in the summer. If you are a Shakespeare fan, then Kronborg Castle is a must. It is located in Helsingør, a little hour north of Copenhagen. It is the castle, that Shakespeare is said "to have used" for he's Hamlet. Many famous British actors have done Hamlet there. From the top of my head Richard Burton, Kenneth Branagh (very good performance), Laurence Olivier, John Gielgud and many more. NOTE: Kronborg is a military castle.

beautiful video , hope you enjoyed your stay in my city, one note two single beds is not typical Scandinavian, it may be typical in many hotels because a lot of friends travel together , and that way they can pull the beds a part a little and have a bed of their own, I have often traveled with my friend and hate when we get a double bed, and two single rooms is so much more expensive, so I'm sure they make it like this to give people a choice

Many thanks for the feedback! The hotel does not appear to have twin bed rooms villacopenhagen.com/rooms/ We paid the additional 90 DKK for a King bed so would have been too tight to separate (although appears to have separate bed bases / mattresses) however suspect might be possible for a queen bedded room. Was Lorraine's first time in Scandinavia so was not used to us having separate quilts!

If you haven't already, you should visit CopenHill next time you are here. You can see it at 17:22 in your video - it's the one with the active smoke (well, steam) stack. It's a waste facility plant with a year-round ski slope running down its roof. It's such a playful idea for a building. It's like a waste facility plant and a mountain combined. I recommend renting bikes to get there as the ride there is lovely. Free to visit. Take the elevator up, enjoy the views and walk down. Then head to Reffen street food afterwards.

I’d be interested to know just when you went to Edinburgh considering all the face masks still being worn. Yours is a pretty balanced overview for the first-time visitor. One small mistake was your mispronunciation of Cockburn Street: it’s actually pronounced ‘ko-burn’ in the same manner as the Port. For anyone visiting I’d recommend seeing the New Town. Also perhaps avoid going during the Festivals unless you’re going to attend events. If you head down to visit the statue of Greyfriars Bobby located at Greyfriars Kirkyard please don’t touch his snout. This is not an Edinburgh tradition but started in the last couple of decades by some misguided tour guide. It has resulted in considerable wear on this iconic wee statue. Finally I would avoid the tourist shops on the Royal Mile. They all are owned by the one company and sell poor quality tartan tat which is certainly not made in Scotland.

We are pleased to say we will be back in Edinburgh later this year for the Christmas markets and showcase some different sides to this amazing city than the usual tourist hotspots!

@@daleydeparturesJust in case you are not clear, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe is not the whole of the festival. The original Festival was, and still is, called The Edinburgh International Festival. This is the "festival proper" which started in 1947. It is a series of "high culture" performances by opera, ballet, orchestras, dance, and theatre companies,etc. They can feature world famous orchestras and ballet companies such as the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the Bolshoi Ballet, and world famous classical musicians such as pianists Lang Lang and Mitsuko Uchida. Shortly after the official festival began, performers with no official invite to the festival, many of them University revue groups, such as The Cambridge Footlights and others, would arrive in the City when the official Festival was on the go. They would perform in any available venue, such as church haĺls. These informal groups of performers became known as the Festival Fringe. Many of today's well known performers, such as John Cleese and Michael Palin originally performed in the Fringe. Since then, the Fringe has grown enormously, to the point where it has dwarfed the official Festival. A surprising number of people don't know that the official Festival exists. All they have heard about is this thing called "The Edinburgh Fringe Festival ".
