This is my family cemetery, the one thing the park didnt remove/take. Dark Hollow was where my grandmother lived. My great grandfather Gird Cave had a church in the hollow.

Happen to come across this video on KZbin. This grave yard is my home church cemetery. Many of my love ones are eternally resting here.. Thank you for filming this. 😢

I went to this church back when I was a child. The Sisks founded the church and I knew Grover and Edna Sisk personally. I was around 5 or 6. George Johnson was the pastor at the time. Originally. the church had no running water or septic and there was a two seater out house up the hill behind this cemetery.

Thank you for this beautiful tribute to those who have left us. Many are my wife’s uncles, aunts and cousins. The headstone with the red flowers seen toward the end (around 9:12) is my only grandchild, Jericho Lee Wall. Memory eternal, Little Buddy.

Hi 👋🏻 I’m looking for “Mount Clinton Mennonite Church Cemetery,” 6954 Mt. Clinton Pike, Rockingham County, Virginia 22802. Cemetery ID: 2172357 Is there a film. If not is there one upcoming in the future? Thank you.

Hi there! I haven't been to that one yet, but it's on my pinned map. I'll try and get there this fall or winter!

Thank you❣️ I grew up next to the Mt Crawford Cemetery. It was my favorite place to visit. A gift of quiet solitude amidst the tranquil beauty of walking back through time and visiting history. I thoroughly enjoyed your video footage of this cemetery. But most of my family is buried at the Mt Clinton Mennonite Cemetery. The Sonoran Desert is beautiful, but Virginia is home. Today I spoke with Elder Charles Eberly this morning to purchase additional lots at MCMC. Looking at the map that he texted me, it is hard to see. The print is so tiny and somewhat distorted. I had planned to fly in from Arizona, my current home, to take care of these arrangements, but my health is not permitting a trip home to visit these grounds at this time. God willing, I’m still hoping I’ll be able to do it this coming Spring. Nevertheless I’m very excited to hear this gem is on your to-do list🙏🏻. It is perfect timing. God Bless you for doing this. These old Cemeteries are beautiful historic treasures.

@@bcaldwell3849 Thanks for sharing! I will do my best to get there ASAP. I do have some time off work in December, so if I can't get there before then (it's 90 minutes away, so I can't just swing by after work), I should have no issues (weather permitting) visiting in late December.

Beautiful video, thank you! This is my husbands families graveyard, he is a Cave. His father (who died) use to tell the story of the government buying the property thru eminent domain to build the Blue Ridge Parkway, however the family didnt want the graves disturbed so the government agreed to keep the graves in place and care for the grave yard. I am pretty sure this was his father parents farm property before the eminent domain purchase. we only been there once but hope to visit it again.

@CemeteryRidgeFilms3 ай бұрын
Absolutely! I'm not sure I'm going to do the whole thing. It's over an hour away, and not the greatest organization of graves in certain areas (as well as lack of legibility on some). I still have a lot of footage coming up and I will go back down. It's really a neat place. Thanks Stan!
