Have you been to a race? I cannot recommend it enough. The wife and I have been to Spa, Monaco, Barcelona and Vegas. And that was just last year. We have been bitten!

Thank You Really Enjoyed I've been an F1 fan since i was a kid, my major is broadcasting and I never gave any thought about how the film it. Thanks!! So how do the cameras track a Golf ball thats your next video.

Your hairstyle needs a serious rethink, kid. As weird as it is, it doesn't distract from those eyebrows.

FYI, back when they first started using helicopters for the races, radio and camera signals were not able to transmit from car to broadcast booth. They had to transmit car signals to the helicopter and the helicopter relayed those signals. So the helicopter just hovered over the race the entire time.

I agree with the guy about the cranes positions being the worst. It sacred me sh***t less on them. You look under you and there is nothing there The vehicle is so far away it seems. Nothing worse than filming in the rain with a gale bloeing the camera and the rain running down your neck. The director shouting to keep steady when the whole crane arm is moving under you and spec’s steaming up. ,!!! 17:22

are the slow mo cameras shooting in real time and sending the feed to the broadcast centre or is it processed in-camera and then sent off with a delay?

Hey! Tommy! It’s 00:02, tomorrow I must work, and I get to your KZbin channel randomly. I sow 6 videos in a row, and the last one was this one. I loved de complexity and the edition of the Tom Sanchs video (was de first one). I almost one to buy de book of the “5,493 Photos from Japan” video, and it was just you, talking about your trip, showing photos. In few words, you have to find the equilibrium, but the most important think you have the talent. Continue growing, then aired someone and then make more complex videos hahah. Your content is awesome, the first thing I think was: how his channel doesn’t have minimum 348,232 subscribers haha. PS. Read a book of Haruki Murakami, regards from Chile.

Just discovered this brilliant video. Great to have some of the tech detail. The Production costs must be mind-blowing. I almost don't mind the pay to view fees now I understand the full back story!

Very well done, I will now subscribe to your channel. I still think that amateur camera shots done by the crowd shows the true speed of the cars, maybe because the F1 cameras zoom in and out too much.

I would kill to have a static shot like 1:58 these days. It actually paints a much better picture of the race than a moving tracking shot does
