The way that death note hook up the audience with just 1 episode literally any anime can't do like death note.

Honestly, this anime left a huge void in my heart. Something about Light was so saddening. The scene in the last episode where he's running with injuries and recalls his younger self without the death note, it hit so hard. Even he felt in his last moments that he was better off without the death note and could've lived a simple life and achieved so much. Or maybe I'm digging too deep. But one thing is for sure that Light was a good person without death note. He could've become a better detective than L if he his life was different than it went.
