Ah, I've been thinking about doing the Affric - Kintail way! Love Affric in general. Often fish at loch Benevean.
@alanbrown91785 ай бұрын
Walked through from Kintail, a few years ago. First day was fabulous weather and stayed overnight at Camban bothy, intending an early start next morning. Woke up at first-light, 4.00, and heard the rain hammering on the roof, a glance out the window suggested it was going to be like that for a while.... went back to sleep, disappointed..... Got up at 8.00 and walking half an hour later, togged up for the heavy rain, in my face..... and so it was for the rest of the day, right through to Cannich..... had hoped to get some sunny photos of this spectacular glen.... but never even took my camera out! Hopefully I can return sometime and in sunny weather!!

@@alanbrown9178 the weather is so very mixed. And I think it alters the trip a lot. I’d probably not have inside doing a jigsaw has it been wonderful!

Brilliant 😊 we're very lucky to have Dean Castle and the deany parkrun. Hilly one which the regulars enjoy because then Troon or Girvan are close enough for a jaunt if you fancy a change but they're flat and you end up with a great time having been used to the hills. Loads of clubs as well train round Dean Park for the mucky hills. But it has everything, tarmac, muck, gravel, short steep hills and long gentle ones. Kids love volunteering at it with animals, atmosphere, cake, puddles and all the rest.
