Hello, I have a question, when giving NPH or Lantus are you not supposed to hold this type of insulin? What if the blood sugar reading is within normal range or slightly low? Thank you in advance.

thank you sooo much, this was one of the most useful videos covering SCI complication, as a student nurse going to a community college, I feel the faculties need to goback to school and learn how to deliver the material to students in a clear easy to understand and simplified manner unstead of sharing what they did at home during the weekend. and how they met their partners.and what happen when their dog when he jumped in the swimming pool.....anyways. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

So the implication as I heard it is that PVCs are indicative of a "diseased heart". Really? WTF That's total BS.

Some sources say that the longitudinal muscle relaxes above the bolus, allowing it to stretch, but you mentioned that it contracts. What are your comments on this?

Hi, around 8:25-8:35 in the video, the main job description of protein C & protein S is the degradation of factors Va and VIIIa, the indirect consequence of which is indeed downregulation of activation of prothrombin into thrombin, but it’s useful to know the regulation points

Hi, today I had an exam and the question was “how does alcohol affect the mucosal layer for gastric ulcer making?” So I talked about the surfactant. My teacher said that there’s no evidence of that on the GI track, just on the lungs. So I wanted to know what was the biography of that statement.

My husband has Barrett's Esophagus, diagnosed in 2020. He is 75 (as of 3-20-24), had Parkinson's Disease diagnosed when he was 61. He is very thin & has had GERD for the past 31 years. Since 2021, he has been undergoing radial frequency ablation, cryoablation, dilations, biopsies, and a 4.5 hour endoscopic submucosal dissection of the esophagus in May of 2023. Per your video my husband does not have 2 of the 3 conditions that lead to GERD. He is not morbidly obese nor does he eat fatty meals. He does like to drink a diet ginger beer a couple times a week. So I guess he has a hypotonic circular muscle at the lower esophageal sphincter that has caused his Barrett's esophagus. He also has diastasis recti, just learned of this when he had bilateral hernia repair done in Jan. of 2024. Wondering if diastasis recti contributes to a thinning of the muscle tissue around the stomach or widening of the Angle of HIS even in a thin person? (He is 5 ft 8 inches & weighs 140 pounds.) Very interesting to learn that enzymes not acid is what causes Barrett's Esophagus and not the acid because the Pantoprazole that he takes does not stop reflux, it just reduces symptoms of acid in the esophagus.

In Megacode #4 on this channel, a woman has a witnessed in-hospital cardiac arrest while on a monitor showing V. fib., and the "correct" next step is stated to be "begin CPR" instead of defibrillate (which is what I would do). Internal consistency is important.
