Jon, It hasn't been Boston Garden for some time... It's TD Garden now previously Fleet center and Shawmut Center. Aaaaand in fact it's not even the original Gaaaden... Completely different building, it's now parking... just sayin' Mush...

666hobart Thank you for the correction. I graduated from Northeastern University in 1990 and the ceremony was held in the old “Garden” before it was torn down. To me it will always be the “Garden”! I saw many shows in the old venue. This aging Dead Head can’t wait for summer tour! Aiko!

I was there for this epic show, and the Friday night before it. This Sunday show was special, the set list divine, and the sound spectacular. Thank you, Jonathon Foster, for sharing the amazing video and sound quality of Dead & Co at their finest!

Wow, what a FUN set! Reminds me of an 80's setlist. Such a treat to hear some new breakouts.....Corrina very sweet, Greatest Story really rockin.....& Here Comes Sunshine, they got that one down. These songs are like old friends and bring me back to a feel good place. Such a gift to hear them all! Forever Grateful. Pretty good recording as well. Can't wait to catch these cats on summer tour again!

I can't do the "better than..." "Worser than" stuff, There wasn't ANYBODY who could play Jerry Garcia better than Jerry Garcia. But I think it's fair to say Mayer is more "authentic" sounding on good, filthy BLUES music; his first gigs were as a Stevie Ray Vaughan tribute type of player. And Bobby STILL can't play slide guitar! HoHoHoHo... P.S>Looks like the boys have been saving their nickles, EVERYbody's got a shiny new guitar. Mayer - washed-out greenie, Otie, greeny sunburst (if the sun is green better hide under the furniture!) And Bob has... probably another endorsement deal! And, and, look REAL close at 26:15 - you can see the light REFECTING OFF on John's F-hole - it's a PAINTED f-hole, it's FAKE! And it also looks to have popped out a few more switches that the first PRS signature model.
@tnfanwayne6 жыл бұрын
DogFaced Boy I agree. I think John has given up on trying to be Jerry. He has been able to play it respectfully while making it his own version. I love both. Sometimes i hear it and go back to listen to Jerry. I couldn't say this till this year. The band has come together.

its covered over for sound.. too much feedback? with the open hole more like acoustic closed more like electric..still semi hollow under from what I gather..
@kevinborchers8516 жыл бұрын
DogFaced Boy it's a real f-hole. PRS actually filled it for him and he hated it and took all the wooden beads out. You can watch how they built it on youtube

This second set was the best set so far from the fall tour. I've been to 3 shows, and have streamed the others, all great, but this second set gave me chills, especially when John screamed right before "Playin", just like Donna used to
@iamme2946 жыл бұрын
Don't go to another show or you may be forced to change your mind.😉 I preferred Philly over MSG only because of sound. The show I am attending in the moment is ALWAYS my best show. I can't believe I still get to do this. After Jerry I felt as all gifts can be taken.... Now, not so much. I have a strong feeling the Grateful Dead will always exist, no matter who... It's the music, the love and energy of presentation and our ELECTRIC reciprocation. A feeding frenzy of shared energy. We have a higher purpose!

and i suppose that when i was 17 or so, the songs that turned me on to the band were st. stephen/the eleven (still love both!) and easy wind - again, that song is still excellent. i couldn't believe that they dusted it off with john mayer.
