Just proves how dark skies are more important than the set up

The cheapest way to visually observe galaxies is a 10" Meade LX50 at a dark site. The scope can be picked up $500 used if you look hard enough. You can just make out the whirlpools structure, almost like a ghost.

They would appear a differently if we were closer than it does from Earth through the human eye

My question is that: if these planets are so far away and we obviously can’t see their perfect shape through telescopes then how do scientists come up with This stuff like 1.3m earths in the sun or Neptune has diamond rain or the giant red spot can fit a whole earth in it, etc.. even telling black holes look like, other planets…

resolution and magnification is second after heat waves and shaking tripod, use long focus 60/1000 18x, 120/1000 30X quality refractors with Plossl eyepiece. You will see extremally sharp/small Saturn.🪐

100mm is not really any kind of telescope. A 50mm 1.8 camera lens and a doubler would work better. A 135mm f2 samyang for $300 (used) will get you amaz8ng single shots of Andromeda, Orion nebula and associated objects. Stacked and they will be spectacular.

I have a pretty decent telescope an 8" Dobsonian. I'd say all your real planetary images are significantly better than what I see with my ok eyepieces from a big city.
