the bike looks cool, the chain brings the extra bling to the setup.

After all this time using the wheel so far, do you have issues of discoloured rim surface? Thanks

I dunno man. 20 or so bikes later (lost count. I have an addiction) I'm on a CAAD12 myself. I've been riding 8 years. I think it suits everyone.

damn, my caad12 is about 9.5kg. Apart from wheels where are the biggest weight saving gains made without breaking the bank? I did have a supersix which i crashed but instead of buying another one I just wanna weight save my caad12 and invest in a gravel bike.

great review on your cannondale upgrades. i have the caad 10 ultegra 2013 size 50 with upgraded mavic wheelset. i have a 95mm stem and was thinking of going shorter to maybe 80mm for more comfort. you went slightly longer although you have slightly smaller frame.

I'm about to buy my first road bike! My apartment is located right next to the cycling road. I'm wondering if it would be a good spot for a beginner rider? It looked relatively flat but I know it can get crowded and attracts lots of pedestrians.

Lynskey bikes are actually the original owners of the Litespeed brand. They afterwards sold their company and founded Lynskey which is the last name of the Litespeed founder David.

Really like your bike, looks very stealth. I still ride a 2015 CAAD 10 105 11 spd and have never felt at any disadvantage on it. I actually rode a few super six's first but couldn't stop climbing back on the CAAD. Unless your a competitive racer or top level pro you will most definitely not be at any disadvantage with 105 or a CAAD, your fitness will stop you long before 105 will. For most the differences are negligible to the cost difference.

Caad are great bikes. The only problem is they use bb30 which is a pain to maintenance if u r an average beginner cyclist. Upgrading the crank will also require a bb upgrade
@sbccbc74713 жыл бұрын
And there aren't many BB30A options for those running 24 mm crankset spindles due to the obstruction with the cable guide. So far, I know CEMA, Wheels Manufacturing, BBInfinite and Hambini fit without issues.

Thank you for taking the time to review these Mavic wheels. I found it very interesting and informative. My next bike will be a new Litespeed T1SL. They offer four choices of wheel sets but I'm still interested in other options. Really appreciate the information! Cheers from McCarthy Aerospace Watches - Leeds Alabama USA !

I agree with everything you said and I’ve had my 2016 Caad12 from new. The one thing that stops me recommending Cannondale to anyone is their totally useless bb30/a standard! Nothing good to say about it, and I’m currently in the process of changing mine to Shimano! Their tolerances are ridiculous and the whole design is flawed. However, the frame is amazing as is the Hologram crankset. Sorry, but I will never buy Cannondale again!

Check out Wheels Manufacturing for a thread-together unit, or BBInfinite/Hambini if you want a one-piece solution.

While I agree titanium bike is super durable, the cost of a used and equally durable and lightweight complete carbon endurance bicycle can be had for a little over $450 (That's how much I paid for a 2009 Specialized Roubaix 105 Compact) that absorbs bumps superbly and rides efficiently on the road. The frame is like new and as long as you don't crash it, it will probably last equally as long as the titanium for as long as one rides. While a Titanium bike build even with used frame and groupset components will easily go upwards of $2000. Someday when I have extra cash, I'll get a titanium frame...

I've bought also a CAAD 12 and i am thinking to upgrade the wheelset. I got a offer for 400€ from a friend. New wheelset. But IT's the KSYRIUM pro disc. Worth it? If i spend 1k i would buy carbon wheelset. Did you also think about this option? Why did you still choose Aluminium over carbon at this price point.
@cnay29833 жыл бұрын
The only upgrade you need is to do some yoga. Which is free. Getting more aero is gonna make you significantly faster. Components are really really marginal

The CAAD series are awesome frames...I too began with CAAD (10, 105). It is high performing, light, and responsive for the cost-effective price. A CAAD frame in any group set is a keeper. I still use the bike on occasions, but have since upgraded to a Litespeed Ultimate as my daily ride. Great channel BTW.

I used to live near Yanokuchi station circa 2000 to 2004 which was right by Tama River. Unfortunately, moved after into the city so now my access to Tama River is about a 10 km ride on Kanpachi Dori which really sucks! I am planning to ride this weekend up the Tama River to Hamura Dam.

Excellent - I have been away from serious riding for a while and this is very helpful. I used to ride (circa 1994) a Team Miyata Cr-Mo frame with Campagnolo Nuovo Record (friction). In your videos - are you riding with cage or SPD pedals?
