What Range do you think you will get if you used the eachine 800dm and the tern lr40 analog?

Goggles should not have much effect on video range, as long as you have decent antenna on them. I'm really impressed with how far I was able to keep video, but it would be even better if I was not launching from inside a neighborhood.

Also found reddit post. I've just bought the thumb pro, I'm in the process of setting it up. Is this the quality straight out of the camera? I'm really impressed by the stabilisation
@Mr_Meaty6 ай бұрын
This camera has no built in stabilization but it exports gyro data. Just save the video and gyro file in the same spot, drag the video into gyroflo (free program) and it should automatically set up the gyro data for you. I switch to static zoom and the rest default settings. Then I type 25 in auto sync points and hit sync. Let it run and then export. It's more work than a GoPro but much lighter and much cheaper.

I really like that cam mount without adjustable arm. I think this makes the recordings less shaky. I'll try to design one similar but very close to the frame and 0°. Your image quality is terrible. I recommend: Video editor export loseless h264 or h265. And then upload this huge file to youtube... Brings the best quality...
@Mr_Meaty Жыл бұрын
Thanks! The new mount I printed is shorter and attaches to the 20x20 holes in the middle. The quality of my recorded footage looks better than what I uploaded to KZbin. I choose "KZbin" as the file type in davinci, so I'll try something else next time. But I think KZbin only unlocks high res uploads for larger channels. We'll see for the next video.
@Sugalime3D_FPV Жыл бұрын
@@Mr_Meaty Yes, unfortunately you can never be sure whether KZbin will really use it 1:1 or convert it again. For this reason I always export without loss. The disadvantage is that due to the high bit rate, the result itself cannot be checked unless a compressed video is generated before that. (i always keep a compressed version and delete the loseless version after upload) And of course the upload of a loseless version takes significantly longer. And in addition, KZbin takes a long time to convert it, after upload you can shutdown your pc... But you get the best possible quality. I use video editor Shotcut here you can choose lossless with h264 when exporting...
@Mr_Meaty Жыл бұрын
So, I just re-exported using h.265 master preset instead of youtube preset in DaVinci and what a difference it made! You can actually see the lizard crawling up the tree in the first orbit! I don't want to take this video down but from now on will be sure not to use the youtube preset. Thanks!
@Sugalime3D_FPV Жыл бұрын
@@Mr_Meaty If you don't have the lossless option, yeah ok the try selecting one with the highest bitrate or file size. File size can be easily determined under Windows. Bit rate can be easily determined with Potplayer or mental arithmetic, for example..... And of course a compressed (not lossless) video will be smaller in file size with h265. But I use h264 for lossless, because in my opinion it doesn't make a difference in quality if it's loseless h264 or lossless h265. But h265/HEVC usually takes 4x longer than h264 for encoding...

How long does it take for fly like this. I’ve had my Avata for a week. It’s crashed twice, and required disassembly and repair twice. The thing feels like it’s made from glass. I’m never going to improve if the thing breaks every time it hits something. First crash was grass and the second was a tree that sent a stick through a half inch wide exhaust port and into the wiring harness. 💀
@Mr_Meaty Жыл бұрын
I've been flying for almost a year now (6 months when I recording this video) and I crashed all the time the first couple months. But I learned on 75mm tiny whoops, which are very light so don't take much damage when they crash. Are you flying the avata in assisted or acro mode? Using the remote or the motion controller?
@Sovereign_54 Жыл бұрын
@@Mr_Meaty I’ve been doing both. Which scrambled my brain a bit. Acro in the sim and made some progress there, but I still feel very green. Normal mode when I just wanna get some video and test around with what I can do cinematically. I’m using the remote because that’s the be all end all for drones, so I’ve never even paired the motion controller to the goggles. I’m just disappointed with the fragility. I don’t mind the practice and hard work, I’m just afraid that each time I crash I’m risking losing the drone. I’m open to buying a tiny for practice but I don’t see a DJI one after a quick google.
@Mr_Meaty Жыл бұрын
@@Sovereign_54 yeah, I would stay away from the motion controller. The sim is what most folks suggest, but that's not what I did. Happymodel just released the mobula8 DJI but connecting it to the DJI remote is a bit of work. Anything else is going to be a full ecosystem of drone, goggles , batteries, etc. That's actually what I started on, a complete analog tiny whoops kit for around $300 If I were to start all over again I would get the new sub250 whoopfly16 RTF combo: sub250.com/collections/analog-drones/products/whoopfly16-rtf-combo

Meaty! I think your cubes might not pass in this VID. I don't do these moves often so I'm no expert and you may want a second opinion but I believe we should see a clear separation of the half roll prior to the full flip then the second half of the roll. You may be doing both here but its so fast im worried that it may not count. Something to consider - also plenty of time left and great improvement so far!
