Would love a video on how to set up existing shades to new user. I purchased a home with existing shades but keep getting “No product detected” error and won’t let me create new home…

I have the same problem. The PowerView App will not detect my shades. I get the same error "No product detected". There is no menu to specifically look for shades. Power to the shade is just fine. I press and hold the manual button and it does not help detection. Suggestions?

Thank you so much! The instruction manual for these blinds don't give any instructions for how to replace the batteries in the remote, only for the shades themselves.

...I've just discovered this was battery operated (the shades) and by far and away... What a braindead design for an appliance that literally sits next to a light switch... I'll be spending the weekend getting hardline power to this thing... Omg what terrible engineering.

What if the manual power button does not work after switching batteries in remote and battery pack? Also, it does not lite up. Is my motor dead? I have held it down for 6 seconds as well. Is it the fuse in the battery pack? Hunter Douglas PowerView shades. Mine are stuck midway down and I need them up in order to install new windows.

My blind is making a constant clicking noise and I can’t reset it also appears stuck in the open position. Swapped my wands out and nothing helps. Any tips to fix this issue ? Hard reset ?

If it required to change battery why it have wired plug in battery socket? I hold 6-10 sec nd curtain move open close move but not roll up. I noticed battery socket which plugged with wire thought its rechargeable battery .

We wouldn't recommend washing them in the bathtub. If spot cleaning is needed, use a soft cloth or sponge moistened with lukewarm water. If necessary, add mild detergent and gently blot the fabric.

I am planning to make some roman shades for my front (narrow & long) windows and have been pondering that same issue of the cords on the back of the shades. To complicate things further I would like to go with a top-down style (we like to have the upper part of the window exposed for more privacy on the lower portion) which would show the cords when lowered to the living room. I have been researching and wonder if a traversing clutch system may work best. If you have any helpful suggestions for the hardware or track system I would greatly appreciate your experience and knowledge. thank you.

Please edit the video to state the learn button on the shade and the up/open button on the remote should be pressed simultaneously until the shade jogs. Then release both buttons and exit the program mode. In your video you don’t say they should be pressed simultaneously

If you buy good quality replaceable batteries, such as Duracell the battery will last longer. It really epends on how often you open and close them.

(windows measure 20" w x 35" h) If opening and closing once each day, could I get a year out of them using high quality batteries? Trying to figure out if this would be a realistic option.

I am told by sales persons at Blinds.com that top-down, bottom-up is unavailable as a motorized shade for windows that are huge - like 93 inches.

I work for hunter Douglas & inspector for these shades & I’ve had them to be 125’ wide & just as long so they are lying to you. Call the Bessemer City, NC store and we will make them any size you want.

@@Beth_Dutton1106 Too late. I have already bought them. But I did reason, in hindsight, that they must have lied to me because even curtains as big as ones for a stage in an auditorium are motorized. Therefore, it should be possible to motorize window shades of any size.

Question on the Luminets (?) if you do 2 and have them meet in the center ... is there a gap in the center due to 2 headrails being pushed together? I have the Smart Drape from Norman. There is a 2 inch gap in the center. I am having them removed by the local company that sold them to me with the assurance that there would be no gap.

There's two ways: Luminettes go 192 inches wide, we can order one split-stack, with no space at all. If it's over 192 inches wide, we have to do two panels, and they meet together in the middle without any noticeable gap.
