I've got one of these. The build quality is markedly better than either of the Ozark Trail meme knives, and it's also lighter and less expensive than HF's fine Icon. My inexpensive folder favorite at the moment is CIVIVI's Mini Praxis, which runs about $35. This Gordon is not quite as good as the benchmark CIVIVI, but at less than a third the price it's excellent value for the money.

Yeah i was looking at dual flex wrench looking ratchet not bad looking or feeling. Had it iny hand and thinking about it but ended up putting back and i had the Pittsburgh 3 piece that square drive head with bolt head like on it i have flex head 3/4 craftsman ratching wrench it turn it in to ratchet and has 3/8, 1/4 to. So have see what's in box fut them have ratchet wrenches fit them not sure if i have flex head ratchet wrench fit them . They were 3 or 4 bucks

I went yesterday for the head lamp. I really prefer rechargeable but free is free and i was wanting the 6 piece technical measuring set anyway. (Item 64447) I know they aren't high precision but the are great for my woodworking. Works better than i hoped.

The HF website now lists Icon Technicians (251 pieces, $800) and Core Master Sets (382 pieces, $1300) in their new tools section, but they're not yet available. Any thoughts on these and their listed contents?

The Kobalt is not that great. The US General is way better.

On the spade bit sets - take the set over to where they have the individual bits and take a look at the quality. I was planning to get a deal on a Diablo set at Home Depot, but they looked like trash compared to the individual bits. Gave me the feeling that the sets were a lesser quality put on "sale".

I would be very hesitant to buy anything Kobalt except hand tools. You can almost always find the same product at a lower price, with slightly better quality control at Harbor Freight.

The MODboxes have been that same price since November 1.

That sander in the Skil bundle is a detail sander. Calling it a palm sander doesn't describe at all which type of sander it is. It should also be noted that the reciprocating saw is a one-handed version. When you say reciprocating saw people assume you're talking about a full-size version. That other tool is not an oscillating tool; it's a rotary cutter. Lastly that circular saw is indeed a Skil saw as it's part of a Skil bundle. It seems like it would be more helpful to say the type of saw, rather than the name of the brand. Also, like someone else already mentioned this bundle was $150 just a week or so ago. The current price is still decent but knowing that it was very recently fifty dollars cheaper kinda hurts.

These werent black friday prices. these were black novem/december pricing. the kobolt drill driver combo was 99$ for black friday. They try to fool people by inflating the "was" pricing when in fact most were never sold as such.

That Kobalt mid torque will do 1000 ….. it over exceeds its rating this was proven on one of the torque channels reviews…. So it’s and EXCELLENT deal for $149

Us general tool carts are 5 drawer.

It's really a 1/4" drive socket set with some bits included and an adapter to fit the bits on the ratchet. (You can use a 1/4" socket to do the same thing.) I think those small tool sets are better with a ratchet that is more tailored to working with 1/4" bits and that makes everything a bit smaller and able to fit into small places but overall that whole kit isn't that large. There are 2 small adapters at the end of the drive handle, I wonder if the smaller one is to fit 4mm precision bits (of which they didn't include any).

Northern Tool has coupons they send out, and you can find online, $20 off $100 purchase, and that doesn't exclude sale items, so that's a lot better than Harbor Freight coupons. I was there today, bought a Milwaukee M18 light, normally $149, on sale for $99, and a Milwaukee combo impact bit and drill bit set, normally $39, on sale for $19, with the $20 off coupon it was around $106, including tax. Used the M18 light under a house repairing termite damage today- works awesome, lights up the darkness like stadium lights. Typically I go to HF more for random tools I use occasionally, but I've bought a lot at Northern Tool over the years too.

Hard to beat the price on that air saw.

Thanks for the heads up. All Clearance items $6 and below were selling for $1. In 20 min before closing I found 11 items for $11, including 2 Titan impact socket sets, a tin snip, and 3 boxes of rechargeable work lights.

Ratchet don't sound good. Same quality as Craftsman Cobalt Quinn. And then if you have a problem how you going to warranty that out you got to find a Matco truck.

I see them less a competitor for HF and more of a competitor for local hardware stores and small footprint natioanl stores like Ace hardware. HF primarily sells in house brands but Northern tool appears to sell their own brands as well as national brands like Milwaukee. They may be similar to HF but definitely different.

What a waste. Why destroy something that is not broken. If you don't want it give it to someone who can use it. Just because it's not a snap-on. Doesn't mean it's junk. You need to appreciate things you have more because a lot of people have a lot less in can't just destroy things for no reason

I don't know why people bad mouth craftsman tool chest. I bought one 45 years ago and it's still working fine it's been in floods banged around and open and closed alot and still working. I just bought a top box from Lowes and it's built thought self closing draws and a battery charging station at a great price. It will the rest of my life.

Same prices they've been at since black friday. Seems all the stores have done this lately....their sales started before black friday and have continued after christmas into the new year, just one continuous sale this year rather than breaking it up into separate sales like in years past, must be hurting for sales to keep this stuff going this long. Nothing really on sale this year that's been a major deal...those tool boxes from Husky feel awfully cheap/flimsy to me after picking up a US General 27" chest last week, that thing was surprisingly heavy for only being a 27" top chest....going to get the bottom chest probably this week. It don't seem like there will be a new years sale since their black friday/pre-black friday sale just kept going all this time LOL.
