I am looking for something like this but without engine. A V8 is to expensive to run here in Spain. My plan is to use a 4.0TDI from Audi with bigger turbos for 500hp 850nm.

At 4,500rpms you are gonna burn around 75gallons per hour in fuel. So this boat is at least a $550-$650 per day in 2023 to run with 93 octane gas.

Something wrong here 1400 HP you should be topping out at 90-100. Needs a setup expert. Perhaps it needs speed master lowers 32 pitch 4 blades. Or Hairing cleavers Hmm?

Great video, I grew up in the Sarasota,Bradenton, Florida area and got to witness firsthand these magnificent boats being built and tested, even got to go on a few demo runs and sea trials, one of the best boat companies ever. Sad to see they moved out of the Sarasota, Bradenton area.

My boat has daytona ignition which gets rid of that blower surge. But I have to admit, I LIKE the sound of the blower surge. Might not be efficient etc. But it's cool! And you're wrong.

That would be a lean condition at idle due to the super chargers that goes away after you get them running at higher rpm ..... but yes my 30 scarab was like this also make docking sometimes tricky due to the rpm roll

I understand how dynos work basically on vehicles and you can see the horsepower but what are we actually seeing when you zoom in on the RPMs? That the motor can stay at those RPMs? I really don’t understand the Dino videos that you show. When you zoom in on the Dyno RPMs what is that actually showing? How does that relay the horsepower etc.
