I'm too old to get out anymore and there's just too many people in the lineup these days. I'm not complaining about the crowds, I think it's great that there newcomers to the sport and they deserve a chance to try something new. The really great thing about surfing today is that all of those surfing paradises are accessable now to the regular traveler. The Maldives, Bali, Sri Lanka, Australia South Africa, etc, are only a plane ride away and many have beginner friendly surf schools. There's plenty of grumpy surfers out there that want the waves all to themselves, who cares, go out there and make your own path. Just do it respectfully. Aloha!

What trip and what an amazing bunch of fun people. The full documentary is currently in the making and will showcase everything from life on the boat, the people as well as the surf spots and progress everyone was able to make during our time there.

I attended Surf Cascais in 2016 and I would just like to say that David and his team are amazing. It is now 3 years on from my amazing experience, to which I travelled alone, and I still think about the amazing week I had with an awesome group of strangers. 😆
