I always use a power driver on mine but you need to know where the height limit is so that you don't damage the lead screw when it runs to the end of the tread, mark the bottom platform with a line so you know when to stop, and when you let the jack down all you need to do is power down until it's near the bottom and then wind the rest of the way by hand. There's no way I would wind it up by using that silly little box spanner.

Looks good but some cases are more stubborn than others. One time I tried to remove a steering wheel (with a different tool of course) and the threads on the puller started stripping. I ended up having to cut the wheel off and find a replacement. Lucky I didn't damage the steering gear shaft.

Make sure after you finish vacuuming the system leave the pump on and close the valves then immediately shutoff the pump. Disconnect the yellow line from the pump and have the line at the gauge a little cracked. Then attach the yellow line to the r134 can allowing a little to purge the yellow line then tighten the yellow line up at the guage, this allows you to rid the line of any trapped air. Once the yellow line is tightened then start the car with ac on full blast and open the valves at the guage.

The flexible hose clamp plier is A MUST for diy'ers. After fighting 8 hours trying to spin a clamp around blocking ONE bolt I needed to remove, I gave up using long nose pliers and everything else and bought this. 5 minutes later, clamp was spun no problem.

@radius491411 ай бұрын
Or you can just use a socket and hammer that baby out!!
@dennisjohnson52853 күн бұрын
@@keyrealm3312 Yes a slide hammer can be successfully employed but a better option is to use the Orion tool itself. The force required is less than that required to remove the wheel bearing, and additionally in most many cases can remove the inner race at the same time the hub is removed from the knuckle allowing the reuse of the old hub if the hub in satisfactory condition at the time of removal. And removes the extra time and effort required if the old hub is removed by pounding out manually and usually always requires the necessity of removing the old race viva a cutting tool. The cutting tool can successfully accomplish the task of removing the old race in order to reuse the hub A hub puller is a better option over a slide hammer. Less stress iis generated on the hub compared to a slide hammer. Even though a slide hammer can be employed to remove the hub without damaging the hub...

Hmm my abs side race pressed into the bushing on removal. Did I do something wrong or is that something that can happen? The outer race is stuck on the hub too but that’s expected. Now I have a tool bushing with a pressed on bearing race. What size(#) bushing was used to get through the bore of the knuckle?

Can the Drivers be stacked for driving/holding oil seals?
@jesseboucher56282 жыл бұрын
Did you ever get an answer that’s what i wanna know too
@idontwantachannel30912 жыл бұрын
Yes, two discs can be stacked. It also ensures you are centred in anything you are starting to press in. I received a set on my doorstep an hour ago. The O rings are a mystery - they seem to be intended for stopping the discs falling off when you are too lazy to fit the screw in the end. Each disc has an internal groove that can only be there to engage the O ring on the nose of the long driver (the short driver's nose has no groove for an O ring) BUT it does not hold the disc against the hard shoulder, so as soon as you start pressing, the disc will push past anyway. It is a struggle to get past that inner groove by hand. The bores of the discs are very loose on the driver noses - but fine with an O ring to centre them. The short driver has an internal bore with internal O-ring groove, so it can be plugged onto the long driver's nose, but again the groove is in the wrong position. When pressed, the short driver has a hard seat internally, but it is not flat, so is wobbly. Either these things are made wrong or I need educating. I don't get why you would want to plug the short driver onto the long one anyway. These are nice to use with the O ring removed from the long driver nose (although the 12.5mm disc bore on the 11.8mm nose annoys me). Advice welcome! :)
