Good video. I understand M being upset, but hey, that's part of learning. Looked like soft landing for the bike, and maybe just a little damage to E's pride. Hope he didn't get yelled at too much, poor kid. Pat him on the back, and let him try again.

His bike was just too new and this was the first scratch on it. Everybody was fine by the time we got back to the truck. Thanks for the comment and for watching the video.

I actually bought a 2022 crf250f new but I sold it to get a 2013 crf230f. I liked the fact that it’s 16 pounds lighter and has a 6 speed. Starts no problem in the cold.

The 230f has 6 gears, more lowend torque, and weights less than the new 250f. you can fix the cold blooded nature of the 230f with jetting easy enough. the only potential perk to the 250f to me is the fuel injection system, there is as I understand a bit more top end punch to the 250f but not enough in my opinion to tilt the scales. the point of the bike is not to have top end screaming power anyway. I think that the new 250f is a step backwards in my opinion.

I really like my Honda CRF230F and would not trade for the Honda CRF250F. I agree I think the 6 gears is a plus and better suited for trails!!!

Since your CRF 230 is cold natured, back the pilot screw out about 3/4 of a turn. This will richen the starting circuit and alleviate that problem. The pilot screw is accessible from the bottom of the carburetor without removing the float bowl. It is a strange looking screw which is flat on one side. It takes a special tool.

i definitely enjoy just cruising down some trails like your doing but I can't help myself from ripping it as fast as I can once I know the trail, to be fair I ride a crf 110 though say Im not even going that fast

Hey mate, im turning 14 in 3 weeks and ive just saved enough money, im 5 foot 8. Do you reckon i could fit on this bike/handle it? it would be a first bike

Hi Milton: Height wise you should be fine. I am 5' 8" also and Nic is 5' 6" and both of us have no problem with seat height on the CRF250F. I would recommend possibly starting out on a smaller bike and learning how to ride then upgrade to the CRF250F. The CRF125F Big wheel would be good bike to learn on then upgrade to the CRF250F. Just my thoughts. My bike is a CRF230F and it does great for me.

He is 5' 5" and had no problem riding it. He can almost flat foot it when stopped, but was barely on his tip toes.
