@ seems like a fun idea if you get on a hot slick, light tackle tuna might be my favorite thing to do
@timrudy4359Күн бұрын
@@MarchRyzfrom my understanding, these fish move so fast that chunking would only be effective if they were in thick. Also, inshore shallow water will make them run away, rather than down, from the boat and you will need at least an 80w to fight a good one. But I’d like to see reaper team give it a try!

I normally do not respond to negative comments to be honest. But....that is my life, my character, and my reputation you are messing with. I lost my college roomate and someone I considered a brother to drugs. His gateway to that world was alcohol, then weed, then cocaine then...... The energy I portray in these videos comes from years of having nothing. Yearning to have the ability to captain my own boat 100 miles out to go kill tuna. On my own schedule. On my own dime. How I want it to be done. No way I'm gonna miss out on these fun times I have worked so hard for simply because I'm tired. And the path I chose as a profession trained me to stay up for 24-36 hrs straight with some pretty important stuff lying in the balance of me staying awake and level-headed. So while I do appreciate you watching and commenting, please be a bit more cautious in using something like cocaine use as cavalier as you did. Regards -Chris

Awesome fish! What's your procedure for running at night? Reduced speed, any forward spreader lights or night vision, or just radar? Looking to stay out later but running at night is daunting, especially going through little egg inlet.
@reaperfishingnj86238 күн бұрын
I just use my radar. I'll run my normal cruising speed at night. A wise man once told me there isn't anything different hitting something at 22 knots or 12 knots.

Every fall, the allure of the open ocean calls me back. It's time for tuna season on the East Coast, a thrilling pursuit that combines the art of angling with the raw power of nature. Whether targeting the majestic bluefin or the vibrant yellowfin, the experience is an unforgettable blend of education, adrenaline, and the sheer joy of the chase. Learning the nuances of tuna fishing is an ongoing process. Understanding their migratory patterns, preferred bait, and feeding habits is crucial. Hours are spent studying charts, analyzing weather patterns, and deciphering the subtle signs of a feeding frenzy. This educational aspect adds a layer of intellectual depth to the sport, making it more than just casting a line. The actual fishing itself is an exhilarating experience. The fight with a powerful tuna is legendary. These fish are incredibly strong and acrobatic, putting up a fierce battle that tests the angler's endurance and skill. The feeling of landing a trophy tuna is indescribable, a testament to hours of preparation, patience, and the sheer power of nature. The KZbin video I'm currently watching perfectly captures the essence of this thrilling pursuit. The footage is stunning, showcasing the beauty of the ocean and the intensity of the fishing action. The experienced anglers featured in the video provide valuable insights into their techniques, further enhancing my own knowledge and appreciation for this incredible sport. Tuna fishing on the East Coast is more than just a hobby; it's a passion, a challenge, and a deeply rewarding experience. It's a testament to the power of nature and the thrill of the chase. Thanks for the great video
