Its hard to believe it but the Flyers won the next 2 games to take the series....It was the last hurrah for those great 80s flyers teams....the flyers made the finals 3 times in the decade and lost all 3 times..I will be 6 feet under when they win another cup.....only the leafs have waited more years then the flyers.

What a rollercoaster of a series - I remember that year, watching the Pens as a College student... game 7 also goes to OT with Kasparaitis winning it all..... Hasek playfully stated that part of his decision not to retire was that he couldn't stomach Kasparaitis being the last player to score on him.

Mike Lange had a bag full of sayings that he used. He was such an amazing play-by-play caller. At the time he was also covering the radio broadcast and his calling was so accurate you could picture what was happening by his words alone. It also helped that he was a fair announcer too. If they weren't playing well, or the other team was playing well, he'd call it that way.

Even sports illustrated commented on the fact that us Flyers fans gave him a standing ovation upon his return... when he played his first game back in 2000 i predicted to my co workers he would score on his first shift....he got an assist and that's close enough for me. He might have broke 92 and 215 if he played the full 92 93 season..he was unreal.
