Picked up a used one, at a thrift store, on the $.50 rack, today. Used for burgers tonight, perfect!

I was shocked to learn that Matell discontinued their pack of 10 connectors. Some bean counter probably realized that many people will buy new sets. Doesn't everyone end up with more track than connectors?! I thought that it would be trivial to buy them on Amazon but only 3D printed ones available that some reviews say are brittle, break and cut hands, so no good for me. I saw one DIY using cut up gift cards. Will see what this video suggests.

Thank you....Yes, the smallest sunfish that you can imagine. I missed my chance to catch it on video because I didn't even know it was on the line when I reeled it in to check my bait.

A few years ago I bought this brand new for $10. I've never used it but I wanted to try it on a chicken to avoid the mess. Thank you for this video, I'll try your recipe tomorrow

I found a basic unit at a thrift store in San Diego. Added a thermometer. Worked great. Had to give it away when I moved to Alameda.

I have this grill for one year now all you have to do is plug it in for more flavor I put 5 pieces of charcoal or Hickory wood and it makes the food wonderful just like my other charcoal grill without buying a lot of charcoal and this group is accurate I just wish it had a temperature gauge😢
@GoldlynxRecipesandReviews4 ай бұрын
I added a temp gauge by drilling a hole in the top center of the lid. It doesn't seem to be entirely accurate but is still quite helpful. I use my unit mostly for rotisserie of pork roasts and chickens but sometimes it acts as an overflow grill for my propane BBQ. For that purpose I will quite often use it for mixed veggies or corn with a grill mat.

Nice video! Thanks. Is the oven easy to clean, especially the glass portion?
@GoldlynxRecipesandReviews5 ай бұрын
Actually I have found that this unit is not particularly easy to clean after using the rotisserie but it is important to do a thorough job or the mess will be baked onto the inside.

Glad I found this video! It came up with me because, besides being a passionate 'hot-wheeler' from way back, I also like to go to my little towns favourite coffee shop to socialize. The owner/ manager said to me the other day " I'm not a 'joiner' "... I quipped that 'joiner' is a current popular word, but when I was a kid, it only had one meaning I was aware of and that was for hot wheels track. Aside from the whole world history of furniture making and woodworking, which I wasn't too clued into back then, joiners meant hot wheels track connectors. So of course being a disciple of KZbin, I went searching, found you, and what a delightful d.i.y. little video. Brings back lots of sweet memories. I remember doing scaled up renderings of my hot wheels cars on Bristol board for a school transport project. I think it was the Firebird. Maybe the Camaro. Same thing? Anyway thanks. Best wishes from Canada.

We can all do a reset at times but it’s just too damn inconvenient and too hard to follow through on it so we keep doing what we find comfort in.. Proud of you Bro for your Grand Reset, take good care of you. We’ll be here for your new posts whenever you feel like posting.👍🏼

@GoldlynxRecipesandReviews7 ай бұрын
That's a good price. I expect that you will find it is exceptional for rotisserie use but only adequate for BBQ use. I've really come to rely on mine for consistent rotisserie chickens and roasts. It has turned out to be the perfect compliment to my main BBQ and quite often i will have them both in service at the same time when we have company.

try to put a mug of water in your toaster and put on bake for a half hr, the steam will more than likely clean that inside, i hope, i just got one for xmas.

Just get the handle centers from the milk jugs at the grocery store. Mayfield centers and the clear jugs the same shape always fit great. Been doing it since I was 8 so for almost 30 years now and never had a problem. And it is free!

Seems like over time with frequent tugging the metal screws in the plastic sleeve would lose grip. Metal better?
@GoldlynxRecipesandReviews8 ай бұрын
The thin wall of the hollow door is more likely to give before the anchor ever will, regardless if it is metal or plastic. Having said that, I was not able to make a comparison between the two in this video due to the prohibitive costs of the metal anchors. I can say however that the towel rack shown in the video was mounted on the side of a kitchen island built from hollow doors and has been used daily without any issues ever since.

I just store my normal fryer (full of peanut oil) in the fridge when it cools down. To use it again just get it out and plug it in. I use it like that about a year before changing out the oil. I want to try that with lard next time. Just to be clear, I fry a lot of unbreaded chicken and only fry breaded items toward the end of the oil life.
@GoldlynxRecipesandReviews9 ай бұрын
Same here. I do a batch of fried chicken just before the oil is done.

This is the way to go, I just used the Confast ZIZ8KWS50 zinc anchors for drywall and one of them spun inside of the bathroom hollow core door. It is possible I hit the area that had the previous robe hook hole. The other zinc anchor tightened up nicely. Great demonstration, thanks!

I’ve had this unit for about two years. I’m not particularly happy with it. It regularly turns itself off above 370 degrees. It is especially frustrating when trying to make toast. When it gets to “toasting temperature”, it turns itself off. I’m about ready to toss it.
