Everyone needs to watch this movie! I saw Rebecca St. James at Night of Joy in the early 2000s and didn’t know this part of her story. Great interview!

I have seen Unsung Hero twice. The second time I went by myself. I cried when church members gave them Christmas presents presents, including a washing machine.

This story can't help but touch every father. They didn't skimp on the difficult Character building times , and rush to the happy ending. Joel did a fantastic job of portraying his father.

Great podcast Andrew. I really enjoyed hearing the journey you took us through. The movie was so moving. I think I was weepy for close to half an hour after the movie finished. There was so many moments that were powerful and emotive throughout the movie. It completely had me undone. It makes you go back through your own life of trials and how you faced them. How God met you in your darkest hours again and again. To watch the faith of Helen and the humility of David finally aware of himself being the one in the way. His father’s words coming back to him later. The brokenness he felt then Helen drawing him back to continue their faith based journey was powerful. We all as Christian’s make mistakes but it’s what we choose to do after we finally see it wake up to it that matters. Moving out of the way and let God in is the most powerful thing we can do. The kids were fabulous. I loved them all. It was a real journey of faith discovery for the whole family. Everyone grew and drew near to Jesus in prayer and it is the most amazing feeling when you see your prayers answered. One of the things all my 3 kids remember from our days of faith are that it’s all about choices. We can take the more comfortable path of least resistance and be safe or we can trust and believe God will make a way even when we can’t see a way. It will cost you but you may just soar on eagles wings if you commit to taking that step of courage and faith that God will bring you through to greater heights. It’s empowering and life changing and we grow stronger and closer to God through our trials. We become our better selves. 😊❤️❤️

When I cry, it's for a truly moving reason. But in that moment, I couldn't hold back my tears and saw how beautiful life is despite all the hardships. People can save your life, but they can also make it a living hell. Thank you for the beautiful film.

Our Lord Jesus is sooo amazing! Following Him is such an adventure! In our 30's with two 5th grade children, He called us to Bible School to train to be Pastors. We also had no money. My husband had been out of work for months. I had to know w/o a shadow of a doubt this was Him because if it was, then I knew He would feed us, clothe us, & give us shelter. So I "laid a fleece" before Him. "Dear Lord, We have no money to move to Kirkland & rent a house. I'm asking You for a 5 week job, at $100 per week & I'm telling no one about this prayer & not going to look for it & it needs to be before the kids get out of school for the summer". Within a short time, my sister came over & said, "I've been offered a job, but I can't take it. It's for 5 wks, for $100 per week going to 5 Safeway stores promoting Taster's Choice Coffee. I have no gift of gab & am a shy person, but I had to wear a banner like beauty queens wear that said, Taster's Choice & hand out coupons & talk up the coffee. I felt ridiculous & It was hard for me, but I prayed it, He answered it , & I had to do it! He was preparing me to be a Pastor's wife at the same time He provided the money to move! Another blessing, the landlord didn't require a deposit & he was not a Christian....didn't know us at all! The $500 was just enough to get us moved & settled in 1982. Can't wait to see this movie! Your story of God's faithfulness touches me deeply!❤❤❤

Said it before, I’ll say it again.. I think this family is anointed. God Fathered this family so deeply & so tenderly & for every second of the way during that time. And He emboldened that sweet Mama to just nurture her babies during that time & He gave their Dad a lot of strength. I’m humbled. I don’t even cry that much during movies. This movie made me weepy, I’d say In just about every other scene. It is one of the best films I’ve ever seen. Moriah is a feminist, I can sense it but other than that this interview was good.

It sure seems like God used Donald Trump, an imperfect man to save a Nation. Christians wanted a man of great virtue & character. Nobody expected this to happen, but the evidence is so clear now. God carried him as the whole world railed against him. God bless America and may America be worthy of Gods blessings. God uses the broken.

Amazing Testimony of the Power of God. I remember years ago hearing Brian’s Testimony and thought how wonderful it was to hear what God has done in his life and could relate to him so much because God had brought me from such a dark place as well. I thought, Wow, if someone could just tell him about Acts 2:38 and the Supernatural Redeeming Power of God. He is such a hungry soul, seeking and looking for the right path and to hear Gods voice. In this interview alone he says his desire is to reach people and evangelize. I believe that it’s Gods will for him to submit to Gods Will as well and do just that. I had the opportunity in Oct of 23 to meet Brian in Nashville, TN at Uncle Julio’s and remembered that thought I had years ago. So, I was able to have a couple minutes of his time and told him that the Lord had so much more for him. Such a humble man he was. He said, “Oh Yeah,” I said, “Yes Sir!” I only had a few minutes but I told him to read the Book of Acts chapter 2, God had something for him in there. As humble as he was, looked at me and said, “Man, imma go home and read that right now.” Now I know he meets all kinds of people, BUT I pray he did and I Pray he gets the revelation of what God wants him to do. Praying to hear and see great things that the Lord will do through him. Brian, just keep being humble and seek the Will of God. Listen for His Voice and experience the Supernatural.

My husband and I saw the movie yesterday, and I cannot tell you how much it touched us . We saw ourselves when in times of hard times and how God alone came through and met our needs with His miracles. We both cried through much of the movie because it touched us so . Thank you to the Smallbone family for having this movie made. Praying many go to see this movie and it touches their marriages and families .
