Brevard county here. I was fishing the lower Mosquito and upper Indian in Titusville a couple days ago and trout bite was good. Nearly everything came on a D.O.A. red glitter shrimp fishing a slow jigging retrieve. I live in Melbourne and everything down this way is chasing either red head or olive colored jerkbaits.

I wasn't sure where that was until i saw the gypsy sailboat. It amazes me the extent some people go to avoid paying property tax or rent. You know that guy shits right off the side of that boat. Probably why there are so many jacks down that cut. I bet if you filet one its full of corn. 😂 Remind me not to eat trout from that spot anymore.

About time you posted a new video. You had jacks out the ass. I’m sure that wagon came from the boats with all the junk on them. Guess people clean out their yards and garages and toss the shit on a boat. I just don’t understand. I love that spot you were fishing. Thought I hooked into a body last time I was there, scared the crap out of me. Glad to see you back out. Happy New Year!!
@FishingAroundFlorida2 күн бұрын
Happy new year, Life had kept me off the water for a month. Mom had a bad trip and fall and was in the hospital a few weeks then rehab for 2 more. She is good enough now that I can get out in the mornings and fish again. At the spot I think I know what you are talking about. There is a rolled up tarp and as the tide dropped looked like a dumped body on the oyster bar.
@FloridaEastCoastFishingКүн бұрын
@ glad your mom is recovering well. Yep, exactly what I hooked into. Lol. U just never know what you could pull up out there.

Two at once!!! That's crazy. I saw one guy do that with two small mamgrove snappers once. Nice video...happy new year
@FishingAroundFlorida2 күн бұрын
Happy New year, I've got 2 at once with jacks and mangrove snapper before. Usually it happens with jacks and blue fish because they wull chase an already hooked fish and keep swiping at the lure.
@ThumprFishingКүн бұрын
@FishingAroundFlorida oh cool....ya a good point, i have seen jacks and blues chase a hooked fish. A guaranteed hookup of you have a friend with you 😆

"Blast me with his wake"... Easy there petunia, it was a very small wake. Was definitely not called for and not needed, but you weren't "blasted" by anything puddin.
@markushi21725 күн бұрын
@randyrostan-yj5oi5 күн бұрын
Well that looked like a rather narrow spot. If you know anything about rivers, you know the inside of a bend is normally shallow. The power boat has to stay in deeper water.

Stay off the water if you get butthurt about every boat that passes you. In fact just stay home. Scary out there

I have a boat and if I go slow past others it sits low in the water and leaves a bigger wake. It's best to stay on the plane
@melvinbfernandez8 күн бұрын
No, safe for others is just as important when enjoying a day on the water. I would have slowed down to a crawl the minute i saw the kayak. Waved, apologized for any wake i would have caused slowing down and a greeting of the day.
@FishingAroundFlorida8 күн бұрын
Slowing down and a quick wave is what everyone else has done the last couple of years.
@TheUnderstandingWhy8 күн бұрын
Yes. If he is sitting in the middle of a narrow water way. Probably wouldn’t be opposed to running his lines either. Sitting in a small boat and thinking other people should put your seat belt on for you is moronic privilege. I didn’t wear a mask for your safety either.

Not exactly a huge waterway. Unless it's a no-wake zone, there's nothing wrong here.

@Jesse-Acts2388 күн бұрын
If he thinks that wake is big he better be glad dude didn't slow down more! If I'm fishing I want you to pass on across ASAP! No need for chit chat! 🤣 I can't watch these Karen fishermen!!
@phtog9 күн бұрын
I mean would you rather him have gone on the other side of you? Seems to me he made the right move.
@alamanamoose9 күн бұрын
The right move would have been to slow down to no wake.
@FishingAroundFlorida9 күн бұрын
Most boaters will slow down to pass a kayak in canal
@phtog5 күн бұрын
@FishingAroundFlorida .... unless they Bank around a blind corner and within 2 seconds see a guy sitting there fishing. Also, don't you think that powering down would have caused a bigger wake when the boat sunk down a little bit to zero speed versus staying on plane and passing you at a safe distance? You're being kind of a crybaby for a guy who was sitting around a blind corner. Also, did you not hear him coming?

YOUR FISH RELEASE LACKS RESPECT, INTELLIGENCE .
@FishingAroundFlorida19 күн бұрын
If you are talking about the snook release, there was a dolphin under the kayak. If I just let the snook go at the kayak the dolphin would have just eaten the snook. Tossing it closer to the mangroves will give it a better chance of living.

it is a de-hooker. it hooks around the round part of the hook, then you turn the fish upside down and a little shake then usually the fish fall off. I prefer using de-hookers on toothy fish to avoid being bitten
@skybeing69Ай бұрын
Are you afraid to touch the fish or what? Good catch though.
@TheMrplayitsafeАй бұрын
When I first started I was afraid. I got over it in a week or so but I still don't wanna touch pickerel bc they're slimy.
@FishingAroundFloridaАй бұрын
I prefer using a de-hooker because most of the time its just quicker and safer
@bowen748Ай бұрын
Just reach down and grab it. I mean come on.
@FishingAroundFloridaАй бұрын
I've had a treble hook get lodged deep in my finger from a flopping fish so now I try just using a de-hooker first

I was just there on a paddle board this past Sunday the conditions really are perfect this time of year. I want to start using hard baits like you but on every cast with an exposed hook I'm catching weeds especially near the mangroves. Do you ever experience that or do you just avoid grassy areas?
@FishingAroundFloridaАй бұрын
You have to use different lures or hold the rod higher or lower to control depth

I'm definitely more careful around the treble hooks now. I'm also super lucky to get a girl friend that like getting up early and kayaking.
