Can these be played over a B minor backing track?
@Learningtoplayguitartogether3 күн бұрын
Although you can use the major pentatonic over minor chords, doing so requires attention to context and the specific notes you choose to avoid unwanted tension. Every major chord has a relative minor, 3 semitones below, so you could play in A flat minor but I can't guarantee that every note will sound right.

@@Learningtoplayguitartogether ok thanks, only reason i asked is that i like my blues to sound sad ;-) i'll try both and see what happens.
@Learningtoplayguitartogether3 күн бұрын
@@neilgroves534 I've tried some of the licks, some of them work very well directly over a backing track in B minor, but there are some notes that don't. So you'll have to try.

Thanks for comment Daniel, This song It was written by band members Timothy B. Schmit, Glenn Frey and Don Henley. The guitar solo, as far as I know, was recorded and played by Don Felder, in fact, there is a video in which you can see the recording of the song in the studio and he is the one who plays it. kzbin.info/www/bejne/hZXGn2mnoJ5nmNU

@@LearningtoplayguitartogetherThat is true, don plays it in the oficial studio video, though i remember reading somewhere that Glenn is who actually wrote it and played it on the original track, and as he plays keybord too, someone had to play it for the vídeo and felder did it. However, great performance and thank you for sharing it with the tabs. I’ve Been looking for them for months. Is great to share my eagles freakness with someone, as here in Spain is hard to find people that even kwon them. Great video 😁😁

He entrado en tu canal y he visto el vídeo de New Kid in town, que es también la canción que estoy aprendiendo ahora. @@Learningtoplayguitartogetheryou have more talent sir than i do.. even a “talent “ pedal will not help me at all. I thought i share my opinion with you, since you are helping hobbyist like us learn. @@Learningtoplayguitartogether lovely rendition and the tabs were usefull too. I play by ear but have started getting into tabs a bit and as of now yours are helping me with keeping time better. Especially on the bends and vibratos, which are what really make both of these fantastic solos. Also, to interject, I think the guy above meant that he feels that if you use an EQ and cut or reduce all frequencies above 5K Hz, it would sound better and less "icy" and perhaps warmer?
@LearningtoplayguitartogetherАй бұрын
Thank you, really, for your comment, the problem is the backing track that sounds really bad, if they hadn't taken away the recording I made with the original song I'm sure everything would sound better, however it is a video to show how the song is played, the sound is not that of the Eagles of course. 😅

You do realize that advertisements cover up one of the best parts of the riff at the end. I've mastered 99% of these solos but I like the little nuances that some artists provide. I can't see yours because it's conveniently covered up by ads even though I've complained to KZbin for 10 years regarding this practice, they still do it.
