I understand he was a huge reason there was a transition at all when Biden took office. However, I am surprised he talks as though Trump has the aquity to even plan for another term.

I read somewhere recently that Mitch is being considered as the nominee if Biden drops out of the brace. Well Joe has dropped out and I think Mitch would make a great vice presidential nominee.

I agree. I'm not a fan of anyone running, but I think he'd be a great choice for VP. While some of the others might turn a single swing state, Landrieu would possibly have a broader appeal. He's a good communicator.

Your analysis speech was succinctly insightful, addressing key issues as always. However, after you mentioned energy, climate,… at (25:41), you missed the EU's role in AI regulation, which is a crucial and salient aspect of governance at the end, the same question came back about regulating AI, I think we have a lot to learn from the EU's AI regulations.

It's the same everywhere, so there is a common factor for the inflation and abusing of power. Better is to try to discover who are responsible for the economic mess (USA/GB/EU led west with their illegal sanctions mania on sovereign foreign countries and even own member states for example). Weird to see the focus of this institute on people protesting and seeing that as a problem but not on the suffering caused on those people and the committers of the crimes on humanity. It's not a risk, it is a consequence of actions of abusive leaders, so that is what the focus should be on.

About 20 years ago there were already people's protests against the packaging industry, but nobody listened or forced the industries to come with solutions for their plastic waste production. People used to not drink and eat for a few hours some decades ago when making a little trip, but now the people need a sip and bite very 10 minutes or so and those sips and bites all have to be enveloped in plastic for the most. The problem has grown this way for many decades and is not addressed for decades, only encouraged and facilitated. Weird to see that only now it becomes urgent for the leaders. They slept for a very long time and played deaf.

Unique insights by Mr. Bremmer. The average American wants nothing, NOTHING to do with the global order. We vote to end what we are doing in the world each election. Trump saw that and exploited it in 2016. He may get reelected, that would ensure the end of the global order, and good riddance!

Agree with much of what has been said. I would also think that before a significant break down of the global system. China will be offered a choice, forced significantly to increase transparency in line with American and international manufacturing and trading standards. If China fails to act she will lose her pre-Corona status as a trusted major manufacturing partner. The value chains and are far more fragile than anyone thought previously, pre-Corona.

Centralized and concentrated power always provokes resistance among people who yearn for just a taste of freedom, or the memory of freedoms lost to globalism. Nigel Farage and Trump didn"t invent their followers. Federalism in U.S. Constitution dealt with competing interests of sovereign states. Any "global" government has to deal with the same problem Madison and Hamilton, Jefferson and Adams wrestled with. They found a way for a stronger central government while diffusing it's power among the modified sovereignty of the states and a bill of rights for individuals. The glitch in the framework was the "peculiar institution" of slavery, which provoked a bloody civil war. This man is speaking about a successful nation (in his eyes) that does not have the sloppy complications and tensions of unregulated immigration or a multi-ethnic society.
