Aftermarket Teflon Vulp is crazy to see 😂🔥🔥 I'm surprised it didn't mess with the tolerances or handle swing with the Teflon coating on the pivots where the washers go. I know Nanalis has special pieces to cover that area when they do the coating. I really want to see other balisongs have aftermarket Teflon coatings now, maybe a Kraken or something. Although it would probably make more sense on a balisong that's considered to be slippery. About the Vulp blade swapping, perhaps the person that you saw that put the Vulp blade on Kraken handles used the Vulp *Pro* blade. I just saw a video by Jake Flips where he did that. The Vulp Pro blade has a different geometry than the regular Vulp. The area around the pivots and zen nipple are different which is why the Pro would work with the Kraken handles but the regular Vulp blade wouldn't. That also means you can't mix and match Vulp and Vulp Pro blades and handles. I hope to see more DIY balisong related experiments in the future!
@thethankfulpost17 күн бұрын
The aftermarket Teflon Vulp was fun experiment. I'm glad you enjoyed it and thankful for your comments! Thank you for the tips on Vulp Pro blade and Kraken handles! I have been scratching my head on what the Vulp or Vlup Pro blade is compatible with. We have a new build on the list now. We just picked up a well used trainer this holiday season that is shipping to us now! We will be doing some more balisong experiments and repairs with it :) Since it has been so well used and loved despite it being a name brand trainer we don't feel bad about attempting to customize it. More on this in the coming months ;)

This is so funny! I hope Brandon sees this, I'm sure he would be proud Heibel made one batch of funchucks like you said and very recently Contraption Collection make some also, but I have yet to see anyone DIY an existing bali into funchucks in this way! I love getting to see your DIY bali projects

We had such a fun time making the DIY funchucks and video. I hope Brandon gets to see it as well. It brings a smile to my face just talking about this wacky DIY project :D My son and I have been bitten hard by the bali bug and we have a few more projects in mind and in the works. Also working on a new workshop to give us more space to create and stretch our legs.

i will say, it seems a bit stiff, i do like the choice of carbon honey but it doesn't seem to help all that much, i would suggest watching tutorials on how to tune bushings, it will most likely flip better than his original kraken, my hydraken flips better then my $250 kraken, its a very tedious tune and mod but it is soo worth it, is suggest you try it, keep up the work!
@thethankfulpost17 күн бұрын
Thanks for the suggestions, we will keep investing some time and research here. I love hearing when properly tuned how well it flips!

Thanks! This kiddo loves flipping. We have been eyeing the vulp pro. We are working on another Balisong mod at the moment. Hope to have a new video in a few weeks. Let us know what you think of the vulp pro. All the reviews we have seen for the vulp pro have been great!

@@thethankfulpost vulp pro after vigorous flipping droppin concrete even, it has barely a scratch. got a blemished from nablis it was literally 2 maybe 3 hair line scratches and a slight fray of metal on the handle from a machining. i am absolutely astounded this thing does arial tricks the finger spins as long as you dont want to chaplin for more than 2 rotations you are solid. ive been flippin cheap balis and the 50$ csgo balis so not the best pre existing experience. ive been flipping on and off for 8 years now and all i can says is this being an “influencer blade” its far exceeded my expectations slight tap and slight play but it comes with everything you need to fix and the case is actually pretty decent quality with 2 extra slots. Hope this helps yall in your next bali choice

(Comment to your son) I recently built the exact same bali and I had to sand down the nabalis washers cuz they wouldn't fit, this led to more play than expected since, I believe, I sanded a bit too much. Did you have any hard time getting the blade put into place, and does it have play?
@thethankfulpost4 ай бұрын
We had too much play with the squid washers & for our builds the Nabalis washers fit surprisingly nicely. One handle had some slight play and just did what we learned from a Will Hirsch and backed off the screw the tightened in one go vs what we had been doing of just keep tightening.

It was new to us, just like the balisong hobby is new to us. If you have any suggestions on how to get more in the know let me know. We have been super impressed with how awesome the people in this hobby are & willing to share. We have a lot of balisong customization ideas we are thinking about & if you got a cheat sheet on what does or doesn’t work you could be saving us time, money and most importantly heart ache. Took us about $60 in failed attempts to land on this.
