How can you tell if you need to raise transmission to get pan off?

My dealer said they don't do trans fluid change, said they are lifetime sealed transmissions. Why they don't have dipsticks anymore.

Wouldn't it be easier to dump the fluid into a container and then just refill with exactly the same amount of fluid and skip the whole "procedure" of rechecking at a certain temperature?

My buddy checked the transmission fluid through the drain plug at certain temperature. He said it’s really bad and only rebuilding the transmission would fix that. Its 2019 jetta with 110k km. Would changing the fluid help or make it worse?

Hey man, could you do a video on how to replace the crank position sensor on this car. All the videos out there aren't very good and have yet to find one for this particular model

Thanks for the video help. With it being this easy it seems like it may be worth going for a short drive in 4 wheel drive mode. Let the fluid cool and top off, just so that you remove any air bubbles. I know that step is recommended for transmission fluid change, but the that fluid might be more prone to holding in bubbles vs this transfer case fluid.

Confused over pre-2016 and 2016+ fluid types specified for the BW44-44. They're not the same, according to Mopar. Which fluid is yours?

The procedure looks to be the same for the trucks as it is for Chargers, etc. That doesn't make sense. If level is as critical as it's made out to be with the shifting procedures and temp verification, then having a much worse variation in level due to the transmission being canted downward in the truck should be compensated for by lifting the rear of the truck, no? This ZF-8 appears to sit level in cars, and this trans is probably used mainly in cars in Europe, hence no instructions to make the pan level? I see both viewpoints on this subject, and they both can't be correct.

jacking up the transmission doesnt make more room because the exhaust is bolted to the motor and the motor is bolted to the transmission at least on a two wheel drive

I have a 2014 FJ Cruiser that calls for LF SAE 75w for the transfer case. Their price is over $100 for a single liter and is currently on back order. Does this oil meet that specification? Why is the Toyota brand so expensive? Is there something special about their formula? I plan on keeping the truck for a long time and will spend the money if necessary, but the price is outrageous from Toyota.

Okay, you're using ATF ULV! But you don't say what transmission model it is because I believe and understand that the 1.4 engine has one transmission and the 2.0 engine has another.
@blauparts
@blauparts Ай бұрын
Yes, the transmission featured in this video is the 8-speed 09S automatic transmission. The 2.0T engines found in the Jetta GLI models use a different 7-speed DSG transmission that this video would NOT apply to. Be sure to check the video description for more info, handy links to the T-ULV ATF we used, and our ATF change kits for these transmissions.

Some say to level the transmission not the truck , I’m leaning towards to level the truck personally. This is probably something i’ll have to do myself as the mechanics in Canada at dealers are like 16 years old and they tend to over fill a basic oil change, they don’t use torque wrenches ex….

We have a video on how to install this kit here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eKvGdaGbedWHeMU While it is performed on a Ram 1500, the transmission which was used across several different Mopar models is the same, only minor visual differences will exist around the transmission pan and other areas due to the different chassis.

I asked the dealer today when buying the limited slip fluid what the torque spec is for my truck, they printed out the torque spec for me and it’s 52 foot lbs for both the drain and fill plug on my 2019 ram rear differential . So who’s right ? These videos seem very legit but the torque spec difference from the video vs the dealer is so much different ! Who do I listen to :( 2019 ram with 3.92 rear dif with limited slip

Just ordered for my 2020 Tundra, I think this is better in the newer because of the gl4 class. The newer transfer case has softer metals in them which would need the gl4 and not gl5 like the 75w 90. Atleast that's my understanding.
