can you imagine being one of the clueless people walking by outside, having no clue of the sheer brilliance of this performance being played a few feet away. i wouldn't be able to live with myself if that happened to me!

Wow! Holy crap, that has to be one of the most powerful songs I’ve ever heard, I can’t imagine the depth of the energy that was 4:10 felt in that room My God, that, that is what humanity is about, to be able to create art and music and then spew your guts out in a way that makes people cheer and scream and clap and wish to gosh heaven that we could have that every day Thank you, Glen Hansard wow 🔥🔥🔥

I've watched this video 100k times myself so it's tragic that there's not more views than that. Glen is always amazing and I'd love to see more recordings of Ruth. Her harmony near the end of the song is incredibly powerful.

So, if you want something And you call, call Then I'll come running To fight and I'll be at your door When there's nothing worth running for When your mind's made up When your mind's made up There's no point trying to change it When your mind's made up When your mind's made up There's no point trying to stop it, you see You're just like everyone When the shit falls All you wanna do is run away And hide all by yourself When there's far from, there's nothing else When your mind's made up When your mind's made up There's no point trying to change it When your mind's made up When your mind's made up There's no point even talking When your mind's made up When your mind's made up There's no point trying to fight it When your mind's, your mind Love, love There's no point trying to change it When your love So if you ever want something And you call, call Then I'll come running

I love this song. It reminds me of the night when my love of 5 years said she was leaving. There's nothing you can say or do to stop it and the hurt and heartbreak is overwhelming. It's an experience that is so necessary but is crushing at the same time. I spent weeks after just existing, waking, sleeping, eating, drinking, like a machine. Nothing mattered, nothing was interesting, nothing was important. Just existing. Just a blob of flesh moving from one point to the next. Every evening the reality would hit. Everything seemed so pointless. I would drink bottles of wine, dozens of beers to blot out reality. In the end, everything must go. And it did. I booked a trip out of the country, never to return.

Incredible as always. Makes me proud to be a Kelly lass in Australia with Irish ancestors who loves their country but left to survive in the 1850s.

I'm clapping to a youtube video....this is a first. Just incredible.
I been out in the desert I have wandered on through the sands I been burned, I been thirsty I've walked with the devil through dangerous lands I have seen with my eyes images I wish I could erase I have danced with lady temptation I've felt her fire, I have seen her face Well, I can't make it, I won't last another day Cause each day is torture Baby, each day is torture when you're away I can't do without you My lover, my partner, my friend And now that you're gone each moment's so long I can't wait till you come back again Oh! I been missing my woman Forty days and forty nights I been missing my woman Forty days and forty nights I have been missing my woman Forty days and forty nights I been missing my woman Forty days and forty nights Earlier today, heard somebody say That he didn't believe that true love exists anyway And earlier today, oh, heard that same man say That any man is a liar who says he desires To be with one woman the rest of his days Well, I don't know how the future is going to unfold And I don't know just how we're gonna feel when we get old But there's one thing, baby Honey, one thing I'm certain is true I have tried it out, I can't do without No, I don't want to live without you I been missing my woman Forty days and forty nights I been missing my woman Forty days and forty nights I been missing my woman Forty days and forty nights I been missing my woman Forty days and forty nights I been lost out at sea, rocked the boat Felt the sting of the rain I been surrounded by couples I felt loneliness I could never explain I have felt in my heart the flood of despair overtake Not knowing for sure if I could endure Overwhelmed by the value of what was at stake Well, I can't make it, I won't last another day Cause each day is torture Baby, each day is torture when you're away I can't do without you My lover, my partner, my friend And now that you're gone each moment's so long I can't wait till you come back again I been missing my woman Forty days and forty nights I been missing my woman Forty days and forty nights I have been missing my woman Forty days and forty nights I been missing my woman Forty days and forty nights
