@theberkshiresmatreasurehun5337 My dad bought one back in the seventies, but I did most of the detecting. At some point, he sold it and I was sad it went. Many years later, I found another on Ebay and bought it, probably for nostalgic reasons and possibly a yearning for more simple times.

I like finding these it aluminum you collect a bunch of these and turn them in for scrap you get money my family was working at a place that collected them fo childrens hospital the container would get full people from the hospital would come get them and i guess scrap them but once my family told me about it for a year i collected thousands of them id ask people i knew even to save them for me and why but then family changed jobs in a different city so i just give them to family to scrap

I love those kinds of events - I've been going to a few seeded events in the last year as well. They are so much fun, and is a great social way to meet peers. I haven't detected in the Berkshires yet, but will be there visiting friends and staying on a homestead which is several hundred years old in mid-October. Hopeful I'll find good items while searching on their property with permission. As for getting in front of the camera, I'm right there with you... I prefer to be behind it too! I don't personally like "talking heads" on videos - at least not at the beginning of the videos, BUT, if you can scatter thoughts about the items found (we all want to learn history, see close ups of the items, and so on), I think that would be much better. I've been reminded that we are not late night celebrities (even though we all have awesome personalities), so I don't think a beginning of video monologue is required in our videos. I'm also learning. In our cases, It may be more effective to discuss each find mixed into the video in the middle? Anyway, good luck and yes, filming for KZbin is tricky. Editing videos is even more fun, but very time consuming. I did subscribe to your channel and will be watching, please do so in kind for mine. Good luck hunting and you are very close to 1000 subs! Congrats.

Thanks for the video!! I hunt with the Land Ranger Pro, and as much as I bitch about the terrible design of the control panel and the way support has treated me (in 3 years in was back twice to replace the panel membrane) I have found bags (Literally) of coins, old half dollars, and a few rings. In a 45 min hunt, if i don't come back with 6 or 7 quarters, 5 or 6 dimes, a couple nickles, and some pennies, I consider it a bust. Believe me, I'm no Bounty Hunter fanboy! But I dig very little junk, if at all on some hunts, and if it tells me it's a quarter, it's a quarter! Dime, it's a dime. It's not pretty, but it has given me some good times. Maybe I am missing stuff, but it's been good to me. Having said all that, I still would love to have either the Pro or Ultra. I really like the look and the features! Thanks again and good hunting!

You can't metal detect in Norwich, CT. I just got thrown off a State beach in Rhode Island they told me you can't metal detect State beaches during regular beach hours.
@qj8933Ай бұрын
Same happened to me and a friend at Misquimicut, we detected during the day and on our way to the car the ranger told us we could only detect after normal hours like after 6pm. He admitted it was a stupid rule and didnt agree with it but so many beachgoers stopped to talk to us and were very interested in the hobby. It was a good experience but yes be careful certain parks. Gay city park prohibits detecting I think also, Norwich is loaded with history but best to try to get a private permission there.
