is this alternative to Proxmox or XPG-NG for self-hosted on-prem virtual hosts ?
@maxdevaine4 күн бұрын
It's look like an alternative for OpenStack or somethink like that (maybe alternative like OpenNebula). And it has own hypervisor based on KVM. So, maybe somethink like Nutanix AVH.

I am a shareholder. I know HPE makes solutions for NASA in space and Linus tech tips presented that very well. For commercial products I would like to see a presentation done by someone who installs server racks for end users. This would also allow for better feedback.

Simple: *too agressive cross-selling and purposefully poor cost control*. Terrific idea run down by excessive greed. In any case, business seeks not only seeks to optimze cost but above all - have predictable cost for predictable value. Agile practices, as they are, are only corrleated with the cloud but also in stark contrast to that predictability.

Whoa, whoa, whao. He kind of walked past the issue is "who is labeling the data?". And it has to be a who because computers don't have a clue.The "VAST" amount of DATA is not the same thing a one bit of INFORMATION. I can't believe I'm having to call an expert out on information theory 101. 800 tons of trash is still trash, and 80,000 tons is simply more trash. Are there valuable bits inside it? Undoubtedly. But someone or something has to pick through the piles and pull out the good stuff. And if you deploy a machine it will only pick out the bits it was programmed to recognize. A machine looking for copper wire or pipe will ignore a gold bar or a rare coin. Or worse, it will classify that rare coin as a lump of copper, and add it to the bits to be melted down and recycled. This process of digesting and regurgitating the Internet does not "gain context." It simply amplifies all of the biases that were inherent in the original curation process, and filters out anything that "didn't match". This presentation touched a nerve because I *do* actually work in expert systems. I'm starting to feel like Dr. Malcom in Jurassic Park: nobody listens to your voice of experience if it is telling them something they don't want to hear.

Are there analytics? App consumption metrics? Connectivity metrics? How do you quantitiy what users are consuming or how their underlay is performing? Any visibility into policy violations in the form of a dashboard or easy to interpret report or consolidated view?
