I find that Nigeria may be selling Lithium ion batteries as LiFePO4 batteries; this I consider a serious problem as it's holding us back from transitioning to solar power; we will like to use LiFePO4 batteries but how can you be told it's LiFePO4 when the box says Lithium ion or li-ion? Can you provide some insight on this?

It's good to always check the battery specification before you buy them, if you look through the specs it would show you what battery chemistry it is. It's generally called lithium ion. I don't think people have a problem transitioning to solar power because of that. There are other factors but not that. Most of the LV and HV battery packs in Nigeria are lifepo4 batteries. I like li-ion batteries though, with a good BMS they can work wonders

If cables were the issue they would have shown heating /melting signs. Cable size or quality is fine. I think the problem is the dod was repeatedly romanced without maintainance

About the felicity inverter price difference. I think you got prices for 2 different products, the hybrid transformer based (which is more expensive) and the transformerless one.

The inverter specified are hybrid inverters, this means that they have a charge controller function. So you can connect a certain amount of solar panels to it. The 5kva Growatt for example can do 6000watts of solar panels.
