In the manga the Shigaraki scene made more sense. Basically, Deku hit Shiggy so hard that he turned him into a donut. He thought he had finally ended him, but Shiggy just regenerated. But regarding this episode, a lot of groups claiming to fight for minorities’ sake in our real world currently & earlier in the 2020s could learn a thing or two from Shoji. Just look at the absolute hellscape that is Portland after the BLM riots. There is still no peace there. Not to mention the people in charge of BLM used all the money they earned to buy mansions & bail criminals who haven’t changed out of jail.

There's a thing in FGO called Alters which are basically the more darkend/evil form of the Heroic Servants. In First Order, you saw Medusa Alter. Ana is Medusa but the younger version (Child versions of Servants also exist, this includes a child version of Gilgamesh called Kid Gil).

I also didn't understand what Merlin did at first, but what happened is that he can't actually move the axe, he just tricked Quetz into thinking he was going to do it, so she just end unintentionally broke the pact, resulting only in lossing half of her divinity instead of death. After that Quetz swear she gonna suplex merlin the next time she get him. She also is surprised about Kingu because she though is just using gorgon but actually care about her.

Wait till you find out about Saber Medusa😂

merlin caused quetzalcoatl to indirectly attack the temple, which resulted to her ONLY losing 50% of her divinity as punishment. Jaguar Man even explained it as you were talking.

There are 4 playable medusas on top of the alter in 1st order so yeah there are 5 medusas

29:22 this part is kind of confusing in the game as well so let me explain it, the plan was to pass the axe to merlin so that he could just toss it in the temple and weaken Gorgon. The problem is, Merlin also cant lift the axe so he lied to have Quetz do the toss and hit the temple expecting this action to sever the pact but not kill her.

So, if Quetz trew the Axe directly with intend and hit Gorgon and Blood Fort she would be tottally Anihiliated cus of the pact. Merlin and Ishtar with Eresh pretty much dont have such stength so he decided to just joke that he can redirect it himself, and with his trick he practically acomplished the task, convincing Quetz to do it - with Quetz only losing half of her Divinity (big lose but shes alive at least). Quetz (Kuku) still pretty much really strong even with half Divinity cus of her origins.

Depending on how they were summoned and how varied their lore is, a servant can pop out corrupted, evil, good, neutral, young, old + in different class. Ana and Gorgon's situation is kinda similar to V and Urizen from Devil May Cry. Vergil had to split into two to save himself from the corruption that is killing him while Gorgon had to remove her "innocent version" which pops out Ana for reasons later.

After the summoning Ereshkegal shared or has gained the ability to possess Ishtar's "mortal" body in Human (living over-)world only at night, since Eresh and Ishtar is represented by Sun and Moon, Heaven and Earth, War+Beauty and Death, etc - two sides of the same Goddess in Nasuverse version as well. Thats why Ishtar always weakened during setting of the sun and Ereshkegal gained control. Ishtar "slept" while Eresh was "awake" kinda like it. But she herslef always ruled the Underworld of Kuta (Underworld of Ancient Mesopotamia) and stayed there alone as a Divine Spirit upholding responsibility of Goddess of Death.

This version is called Medusana which is Medusa during her youth back when she was a Divine Spirit of the land, just like her ever beautiful sisters. But unlike her sisters, Medusa was not immortal and with time she grew up. Remember that Medusa doesn't really qualifies as a heroic spirit because she already was a Divine Spirit that turned into a monster, so whenever she gets summoned as a heroic spirit she's mixed with the legends of other heroes related in some way to her. - When she's a Rider she's mixed with the legends of the Pegasus (her child) and Bellerophon (who tamed the Pegasus). - Her bleak lancer version has her mixed with Perseus (who killed her) and even wields the harpe that beheaded her, this younger version still has the Harpe but has all her divinity pre-monster. - There's a saber version where she wields the authority of her own son Chrysaor and has some Athena mixed as well.

I'm all but certain that Touki biting Blade when he loses his sword is part of the script. If you look closely, you see Aqua's teeth are just pulling the cloth of Himekawa's tunic, so it's not like he's actually sunk his fake fangs into his shoulder or anything like that. I don't even think the fake fangs Aqua has would be capable of breaking skin. There'd be no reason to make them that durable. This is just to show that the only way Aqua can do emotional acting without having a panic attack is if he's suffering rather than having fun, if he's keeping the fact that he's only doing it to further his revenge at the front of his mind. I'm not sure how he's going to pull off being overjoyed when Touki discovers that Saya isn't actually dead (I'm not sure how she isn't, with all that blood. I guess that green light that was spreading everywhere healed her, too?) but since that's up next, I guess we'll see at the start of next episode. Hype!

I KNEW the Director knew something about Aqua's past, it was made way too obvious a few episodes ago but I used to think that Aqua might've let him in on the secret a while ago until this reveal. Also I liked how Aqua can't particularly enjoy acting but is perfectly content with using it as a means to an end for what he wants, even declaring to himself that he'll outdo all the others.

This scene was really cool, I was really immersed. Then I realized how cringe Aqua got in this last part. 😅
