I used to go there all the time. Here are some tips. The beach is cold, and the water is colder, dead crabs everywhere, but its beautiful, the surfing is great, and there's a haunted light house ♡ Enjoy!

did some surfing/swimming in half moon last week its extremely cold but doable with the sun out at 70-75 degrees air temp

we go every week, live in san mateo, you couldnt be more wrong about the water. even in winter, its refreshing. its not cold. going out tomorrow to dunes beach, its going to be 68 out.. ill be in the water waist high..

I think that's the street I used to live on. I lived at 115 Paloma St. in Sharp Park (pre Pacifica) Oct 52-Feb53, Apr56-Jul59. My dad was in the Navy then.
