Funny how u don’t see older people doing this kind of yoga. What yoga is good for people over 60? Thanks!

The only yoga is kundalini...all the yogas are towards that....you are athman...that is the end....you are not five elements.......to split that the total mind should nullify.....outside world is just every one's thoughts...mind and emotions and lust added...and don't allow us to Go higher level.......from.books

you have to stay limber bc the energy will make your body stiff. I find myself doing similar things and I don't even study yoga but have enough sense to see have to stretch extensively.

where is the proof tht it is the oldest yoga? Tibetans where still savages when Yoga started in India
@ruzickaw9 жыл бұрын
there was no need of any manual. The exercises were and are still transmitted from teacher to student. You have to "see" the posture and not to read about it.
@moreurgentjest9 жыл бұрын
+ruzickaw he doesn't claim it's the oldest, but "one of the most ancient" and he also says that it came from outside of tibet to tibet. perhaps you could try relaxing and hearing what is said rather than hearing what you want to hear? that's the impression i get from your comments. if you want the purpose of the exercises you could try reading the book. not everyone is fortunate enough to have a yantra yoga teacher in their vicinity.

I think this is a caution particularly to westerners to study with people who have had proper training. He talks about there being several Yantra systems, but gives the impression this is the only complete system with a genuine lineage available in the west.

It saddens me to read at the end that in oder to learn yanta yoga you have to learn from someone who was authorized by Namkay Nurbo. There are other great yogis whose authorities are at least as significant as his.

You can learn it on your own if you have an observant heart and eye.

Protestant ministers are allowed to marry and have just as high an incidence of molestation as Catholic priests. Castration would be a just punishment, though.

And calm down, we know jesus will save YOU, but don't hate on those that do yoga and who are Buddhists, Hindu, and any other faith that practices yoga. Let's all be happy and full of love, ok? ok :)

@seadawg93 I think learning a more gentler practice like Iyengar or Hatha is the best way to start. I've tried dynamic yoga styles before and have actually gotten injured jumping around quickly between postures. It's best to open up the body in a slow, gradual way first IMO and then you can move to a more dynamic flowing yoga.

Is there any point of a beginner trying to learn this? I remember I got the video one time and I couldn't do almost any of the movements. I've recently gotten back into hatha yoga, maybe in a few years I'll have the flexibility to look into this.
