I just ordered one…looking forward to it. Yeah it’s a bit pricey…but buy once cry once! Looks clean and sturdy. The vents in the mk8 are very flimsy. Broke one trying to push on a vent clip mount. Had to replace the entire vent dash. Not making that mistake again. This looks like it’ll last the life of the vehicle.

I want to do all of this to my '80, but even though it's so well documented, man is it daunting. Even with access to a lift for two weeks, and an empty shop with work benches and stuff, I know I'd struggle

Fantastic video. I need to replace my cup holder because both cup holder assemblies have broken. I intend to purchase an after market one made by Bilstein however the trim piece is black, not the silver on my car. Is it easy to remove the trim piece so that I can make the switch? Thanks in advance.

So my cup holder door wont close it stays open. Does this repair kit fix that issue? I have not taken the unit out does this issue indicate something is broken or missing? Thanks
@RennlineInc29 күн бұрын
It all depends on what broke. You will have to disassemble your cup holder to assess the damage. Our kit comes with a gear that installs in the door hinge, but your problem may not be the gear.

I need to save my shekels for this kit. Looks rad. Can I install the front spoiler without the winglets? Cheers.

In the video, he keeps referring to aluminum screws. Are they screws or are they gears? The video is shot from too far away, so it's not evident. Nice parts.
@RennlineIncАй бұрын
At 2:08 when he saying "install the aluminum screws" he is referring to the replacement gears. Same with 2:25, again referring to the replacement aluminum gears.

That looks completely cosmetic compared to the Verus or even to the Joe Toth one. If you do one for the gen 2, how about making it functional?

OK 2 questions. Is x51 throttle body the standard or GT3? Also, what about automatics or X51 that have the factory breather hose in the elbow. Is there a separate elbow version for those vehicles?

It’s your biz and do what you want (just as I will do as I want with picking businesses to work on my Pcars), but come on with some of these “shop rules” to work on clients cars?!?! Love it when businesses get so high on themselves we peasant customers should feel oh so privileged to let them take our money. Own an air cooled Pcar before they will turn a screw on an owners water cooled? Get over yourself! Thanks for the entertainment, but I’ll stick with my humble mechanics in OC to wrench on my 911’s. (And this coming from a guy who only owns air-cooled 911’s)!

@duketogo6663 ай бұрын
It should be possible to use electronically actuated valves, but you'd either have to modify if yourself, or see if you could convince Rennline to offer that as an option.
@bernardmauge86133 ай бұрын
@@duketogo666 I was thinking about mechanical cables going thru the center tunnel. No need to be an expert to do that.

We do have two different actuators available, but both require vacuum to actuate the valves. If you are not carbureted the parts needed to install is much less and easier to hide!

So my Porsche 944 needs new motor mounts. I can across this product while searching. From what I see in the comments, these mounts are causing a lot of vibrations, which is what I am trying to eliminate. Can Rennline Inc. please comment on theses concerns? Great easy to follow video! I wish you made new front lids too. My arms retract and stay when pushed in but the catch for the door is cracked off. This is likely because I would shut the door with the pressure of the broken arms loading the door.

@timsippel39595 ай бұрын
You may need a e12 socket, not 10mm. Also removing the plastic cover requires lifting a tab to release cover... If you look directly down on cover you can see the tab. These details are kinda good to know.
