I've held off buying it and now it's on ps subscription I played some and I liked it. Yeah theirs the odd glitch but it's probably better then it was since coming out. Not as good as the original ps2 but nice 60fps and 4k with bright colours. I'm enjoying GTA SA and bought the 3 games for under £30.

All three games are still full of little bugs and glitches. Nothing game-breaking. The games are still playable and completable. But definitely FAR from optimal. Remember when Rockstar apologized and said: "With each new update, these games will get the level of quality that they deserve"? Yeah, well, it's three years later and I'm still f*cking waiting.

its sad that the official took the money but refuse to fix the game and the community had to rely on mods to made the game playable, and take2 went after the modders...

GTA 1 - Inability to save. This game is so difficult already, and having no way to save your progress makes it exponentially worse. GTA London - Never played. GTA 2 - Near impossible rampages (likely due to a mistake). GTA 3 - Missable missions, both in the sense that they are actually missable and in the sense that doing some of them later when the gangs are aggressive can be impossible. GTA VC - My favorite game (along with VCS, can't choose between them), so it's hard for me to find the "worst" part of it, but the asset mechanic is not really explained to the player, meaning a new player would have no way of knowing how to actually complete the game without a guide or lots of exploration. GTA SA - Lack of polish. The game's just unfinished. It feels more like a tech demo in which they crammed as many features as possible but didn't fully finish any of them. Even the story is rushed. GTA Advance - Driving? Graphics? It's a fine GTA game imo, it's just different. GTA LCS - I really like this game, so I don't have any major gripes with it but I guess the antagonist is pretty boring and underwhelming. GTA VCS - The increase from level 12 to level 15 on side missions. The 100% on this game is a big grind and the worst part are the emergency vehicle missions for this reason. Also could've said that the difficulty spike in that game is absolutely brutal, but I personally like that. GTA IV - The 100% requirements. Amount of collectibles is crazy, stealing 30 cars from random places on the map (and having to wait for a text each time) is just tedious, the friend hangouts are also annoying. Love this game and it's one of my favorites but I wouldn't 100% it again. GTA TLaD - I've been sitting here thinking for like 5 minutes and can't think of anything, I'm sorry lol. GTA TBoGT - Characters that are obnoxious and blatantly racist (Yusuf) and homophobic. I did not like the story the first time I played through it, but I had a great time getting the gold medals in it though! GTA CTW - Probably the gold medals on story missions being nothing but time trials. Otherwise this is a good entry imo! GTA 5 - Online. Jokes aside though, as a completionist, I have to say the random events. Everything else I can do whenever I want, but looking for specific random events feels... well, random. There's 60 of them and after going through the whole game and doing almost everything else I am still at about 30. I'm also not the biggest fan of the constant heists, but that's just me.

With it being October, I decided to play through some of the older horror games I played previous. Doom 3 and the original F.E.A.R. both FPS games from 2004-2005, and I can 1000% definitively say, they take monumental dumps on recent FPS games. Another game I have just begun to play for the first time: Call of Cthulu: Dark Corners of the Earth. Its a fantastic horror game so far, and was made by Bethesda before the release of Oblivion. This October I have accidentally proved to myself that older games are ACTUALLY better, its not just nostalgia.

44, still having fun gaming. Don't have fun thinking about my backlog. Haven't had fun playing multiplayer games in almost 2 decades, so I just stick to single player.

Actually, I'm 32 and I'm having more fun with games than ever before, but I made some hefty changes to achieve that.

The reasoning is because were older, we have lives, the games we played are all exhausted in our libraries. And video games are in a bit of a hit or miss dry spell, to bring that joy back you need to make it yourself.

i'm surprised this wasnt brought up. the small company were the same one that also did a remaster of San Andreas for Xbox 360 back in 2014. which also caused some issues like screen glitches and aim bugs which were still not fixed to this day. They then used Xbox 360 port which was ported from the mobile version, for DE.

Even if these products were bug-free, which is not the case, the lack of the original atmospheres (mainly on SA and III, VC kinda gets away with it) are enough to kill my interest completely. It changes the experience so much.

Vice City is my favorite GTA

I am very picky when it comes to games...idc for horizon zero interest or tlou2 or god of war anymore and now I'm bored of spiderman....Days Gone had me hooked so did Ghost of Tsushima and Days Gone was killed off and now Ghost 2 will be like Joker 2 and im sick of it

Try Days Gone, Ghost of Tsushima, Red Dead Redemption 2..... personally 3 of my favorite games in the past 20 years

I wish they remade the San Andreas skybox entirely. Based on the original game’s box. The sky looked so interesting - especially the purple sky when you were in the desert. The fog needs to be brought back to. A slightly blue haze that limits render distance visibility. How is it so hard for them to do that?

MK stories have had low expectations since MKX

Can only speak for GTA 3 on there, but as a big fan of that game since its original release, I really enjoy the definitive edition. I think it's great, and actually is an upgrade over the original. Saying that, I only brought it recently for £20. But for me it's worth it.

It isn’t a great remaster but comparing it to the original console release, the controls are so much better and the game is at such a better resolution it’s well worth it for anyone wanting to experience these classics. Doesn’t excuse the laziness on Rockstars part, these remaster could still be a lot better

Would anyone happen to know if the remastered version has the option to bypass missions after failing a certain number of times like 4 and 5? I’m just asking because I never had the hand to eye coordination to pass all the missions in Vice and San Andreas. It’s a shame because I love the storylines.

Most annoying things imo, GTA 3: the hostile gangs as you progress through the game, they just make doing the side stuff annoying. GTA Vice City: it's annoying how the asset/businesses that you need to do to get the final missions aren't clear what you need to do to complete some of them (like the pole position) GTA San Andreas: when you go to a mission but it would tell you that you need to come back at a different time of day GTA 4: don't know it this one really counts, but if you want to use cheat codes you had to call phone numbers, which was just time consuming and annoying. Especially trying to get health or remove your wanted level GTA V: all the downgrades they did from 4

They could have Double 11 Remaster it. Even tho RDR didn’t Double 11 wouldn’t take away their resources and D11 likely would make it work. GSG is known for releasing faulty ports anyways as they released the 360 version of San Andreas that ended up being so hated. So far D11 has done well with their first port of a Rockstar Game.
