Hello. The prerequisite for working with mixing/mastering is already having high-quality, flat room acoustics or quality studio headphones with a flat response, so we focused only on detailed emulation and a wide number of listening devices to keep the price of plugins at an acceptable level. You can use MixChecker in combination with another calibration plugin if your listening conditions require it, but even this initial calibration is not a cure-all and there are many variables. It should always be taken just as a helpful guideline.

Including correction and adapting plugin to the acoustics of each individual studio would require a much more complex solution, calibrated measurement microphone, etc. which would significantly increase the price of the product. Such solutions do exist on the market but that was not our approach. The assumption is that mixing and mastering studios have at least acceptable acoustics. Alternatively, you can use MixChecker in combination with other sound correction applications that are already available on the market. Thank you for your understanding.

​@@AudifiedOfficial doesnt make any sense, any professional mixing/mastering studio will spend tens of thousands on gear, including the room/s, why would they skimp on this kind of a product? This seems to be more of a bedroom type of a product, but its pretty much useless if it doesnt balance your headphones/monitors. Dsoniq realphones does this and its cheaper than your product?

@@va941 Many of us work in a pros recording studios with perfect acoustic and thats where the idea of MixChecker came from. Because these studios dealing with professional mixing/mastering need to test the sound of the mix on many commercial devices, and it is common practice. Dsoniq offers corrections for several headphones and a few dozen listening devices. If it’s a custom product for you, that’s great. We have devoted more care to emulated devices, of which we have measured more than 90 and also their current relevance. There are already enough plugins on the market for headphone correction, but monitor correction is a completely different discipline that requires a much more complex solution, as I write above. It’s up to the preference of each of us.

Hello, the level of distortion can be adjusted manually using the slider with the distortion function enabled, but it looks like some frequency band has probably emerged here that wasn't detected during the mix and needs to be checked.

@@AudifiedOfficial hey! Distortion in mixchecker would compress the vocals I think. I fix the problem with volume/ envelope automation. Basically I'm asking if the models are like impulse responses with different dynamics measurements

@@recon7773 It reflects, just like the distortion function for each of them, but is based on basic measurement - a 200 Hz sine wave at level 1. Conducting extensive and precise measurements in an anechoic chamber would significantly increase both the development cost and the final price of the plugin. We aimed to get the most out of the emulations and make them as accurate as possible, while still keeping the price of the plugin affordable for a wide range of users.

Hello, we are really working hard on the comeback, but it’s not an easy process and it requires some refreshment and care, especially when today is overwhelmed with guitar plugins. We have been fully occupied with the new MixChecker.

@@AudifiedOfficial Which teaches us a valuable life lesson: "Don't cancel something unless you have a replacement ready". You removed them immediately, but the replacement takes years. And today on "overwhelmed guitar market", time is money more than ever before. But I'm probably wasting my time in vain. It wasn't a wise move on your behalf to begin with.

@@luisbovleck5173 Agree with you. Due to these decisions Audified had to go through a major internal changes, so it certainly was a life lesson. We are preparing more interesting things and we are also thinking of guitarists, just need to catch our breath a bit. 👍

Yes, having good acoustics and balanced studio listening from speakers (or headphones) is an essential prerequisite.

@@AudifiedOfficial Haha...ha. If you're at that level with your monitoring you don't need a plugin like this. The promotional video surely targets home recorders. Most home recorders have seriously compromised monitoring...which is an "essential prerequisite" for this plugin to be of any use. So there's some kind of hopeless feedback loop going on here that makes this product unsuitable for pros as well as unsuitable for the home recorder.

@@oinkooink Haha ah… And we were already wondering where all the haters were? 🙌🙂 MixChecker ULTRA has a wide range of applications and you can find it both among professionals and in smaller productions or with sound designers. It depends on creativity and the way of use. If you have poor monitoring, it doesn’t make much sense to mix tracks in such an environment, let alone check them precisely. Our plugin doesn’t even target there. No hate, what’s not good for you might be great for someone else. But for example -- I use MXC ULTRA even in the conditions you mention. I often have to do work mixes on the go, in hotels just with my compact listening monitors or with headphones and thanks to a wide range of emulations including professional monitors, I can ‘tune’ the sound with my reference recording to what I’m used to from the studio. So plugin helps me from the opposite end. Adapting the plugin to the acoustics of each studio separately would require a much more complex solution, a measuring microphone,… and the final price would be significantly higher. Such solutions do exist on the market but that wasn’t our path. Thanks for understanding.

@@oinkooink Come on, it was just a joke, just like your completely factual initial laugh. :) Yes, it's still true that MixChecker is most useful for people who have quality listening conditions, which should be one of the fundamental aspects if we want to work with sound, whether I'm working on mixing or mastering.

Before Jarek Musil and Lubor left the company, I also suggested making modulation pedal bundle like Pedal Pro but for flangers, chorus, phasers, and we also discussed rotary speaker plugin like Yamaha RA-200 (or 100) and Taurus Dopplex DX26 (a replica of David Gilmour Doppola). Unfortunately, they left without completing these suggestions and projects, but last I heard from Lubor years ago he purchased Yamaha RA-100 rotary for Audified development. Shame it never materialized. But maybe you guys will pick it up!

@@michaelgarrett6059 Well, it's just that solid state guitar high gain ampsims are sorta scarce. There are RG100 and Valvestate by Audiority and Flextron, which is a sim of one of the not-so-good Crate models. And that's it. Stuff like Ampeg VH140C, those old GK's and Sunn Beta Lead would be awesome to have.
